We are searching for an experienced, passionate, and self-motivated TRAVEL CONSULTANT / SAFARI SPECIALIST to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a high-performing individual, with a genuine passion for tailormade travel and delivery of the very highest standards in customer service. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ proven track record selling luxury, bespoke African trips to an international clientele. Duties & Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIESCuration of high quality, tailor-made itineraries for photographic safaris and family safaris.
End-to-end sales process including planning, costing, refining and confirming itineraries; through to post-travel communications
Conversion of warm sales leads via email, telephone and video calls
High quality presentation of travel itineraries customised to the client’s unique requirements, along with supply of relevant supporting information and advice
Delivery of gold standard client service at all stages of the sales process to engender repeat and referral business
Proactive expansion of product knowledge keeping abreast of latest industry developments to ensure expertise across our specialist product portfolio
Maintain up-to-date commercial knowledge of properties, flight routings and logistics
Foster good working relationships with colleagues and trade partners; and exhibit a strong team ethic. Our Client’s expertise is based on in-depth product knowledge and first-hand experience based on annual research trips.
Experience & Qualification
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL
5 years Travel Consultant experience in a tailor-made travel environment
First-hand knowledge of our core destinations, specifically within sub-Saharan Africa
3 years’ experience working with complex Southern Africa and East African itineraries
Demonstrable sales performance in a target-driven environment
