As a Business Development Manager at CareerVillage.org, you will play a crucial role in expanding our reach and impact. Your focus will be on sourcing and creating partnerships with institutions that will drive the growth of the AI Career Coach. By establishing strategic collaborations with workforce development services and youth-serving organizations, you will contribute to the success of the AI Career Coach and the subsequent success of its users. You’ll be a part of successfully launching our new product, the AI Career Coach, and will also contribute to other inspirational products and services we offer.

What you'll do
• Partnership Development
• Identify and evaluate potential partners in the workforce development sector, in addition to school districts, educational institutions, and other partners that align with our mission
• Initiate and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to explore collaboration opportunities.
• Create customized proposals and programs showcasing CareerVillage.org's programs and services, addressing each potential partner's unique needs and goals.
• Lead negotiations to finalize partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms aligned with CareerVillage.org's mission.
• Initiate and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to explore collaboration opportunities.
• Strategic Planning
• Contribute to the development of comprehensive go-to-market strategies for partnership initiatives.
• Lead the execution of these plans.
• Work closely with internal teams to align partnership objectives with CareerVillage.org's mission.
• Campaign Execution
• Lead campaigns to promote partnership initiatives, driving awareness and engagement.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across campaigns.
• Metrics and Analytics:
• Establish and monitor metrics for partnership success.
• Analyze ROI to assess the impact of partnership initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
• Market Analysis:
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential partnership opportunities.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis.
• Teamwork:
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless transition from business development to program implementation
• In partnership with colleagues, continuously assess the effectiveness of our strategies and adapt them to meet changing market dynamics

Preferred Experience
• Prior experience in business development and sales, especially within the education technology (edtech) and workforce development space.
• Experience in mobilizing support and excitement from the sector around new products and programming
• Proficiency in managing partnership pipelines and campaigns with a focus on high ROI.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills within the education and workforce development ecosystems such as schools, districts, workforce boards, and adjacent nonprofits.
• NICE TO HAVES:
• A good grasp of AI and its applications in edtech, to credibly and accurately represent the product to partners.

CareerVillage is a non-profit organization committed to democratizing access to career information and advice for underrepresented youth. We do this through crowdsourcing personalized career advice on our Q&A platform and with our new generative AI product, AI Career Coach. Our mission is to empower young individuals by connecting their questions with professionals across various industries. Role Overview:

As a Partnerships Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of CareerVillage. This part-time, paid position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector, collaborate with various Partnership function leads, and liaise with other workforce development organizations. As a Backend , you’ll be building the technology to enact our mission: to democratize access to career information and advice for millions of underrepresented youth. You’ll be contributing to two products: (1) our brand new product, the AI Career Coach (read about it in

What you'll do
Write code, tackle problems, collaborate with other engineers and our PMs to help build a career-ready generation
Build, launch, and continuously enhance our AI Career Coach (read about it in

Forbes ). This includes working with langchain and other AI frameworks, and staying up to date on the latest AI developments (finally, a legitimate business reason to open HN at the start of each day!)
Build sustainable web application systems that live on and get used for many years to come
Collaborate with other engineers in live discussion, and via code reviews, to level up yourself and others with effective feedback.
Collaborate closely with product, partnerships, data, and community teams to build the things that matter most for our learners
