JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Engages and collaborates with Carnival Cruise Line (CCL) stakeholders, Corporate, and sister brands. This position will be responsible for managing the category portfolio and have significant spend oversight in range of $100 - $200M in Opex/CapEx. This involves a) Developing and implementing multi-year growth plans for their categories or “business units”; b) Commercial awareness and continuously managing trends and gaps in the market that impact their category and in turn the companies supply chain; and c) Managing suppliers to ensure flow of products/services to company is unhindered.
• Manages Strategic Sourcing Initiatives utilizing a 7-step strategic sourcing process (including but not limited to a market analysis, supplier risk analysis, baseline spend analysis, RFP execution, formal negotiation strategy and plan, contracting and implementation and monitoring of source recommendation). They negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts on behalf of Carnival engaging with suppliers at the COO and CEO level. Manages Contracts and Key Supplier Relationships.

This role will work with CCL stakeholders, Corporate, and sister brands to identify strategic sourcing opportunities that effectively leverage our size and scale to deliver a competitive economic advantage while maintaining or improving quality and service levels. As needed, this role will develop a deep spend analysis by commodity, vendor and/or SKU to develop opportunities including an overall sourcing strategy.
