The position will use mastery of analytical skills to solve complex problems utilizing a data driven approach to decision making. The Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing – Indirect, applies spend category management best practices, tools and techniques in the development and implementation of an integrated strategic sourcing strategy to assesses the overall opportunity within the categories for projects to then engage the stakeholders with facts and data.

This position is responsible for ensuring integration of the sourcing policy across the category and managing strategic sourcing Initiatives utilizing a 7-step strategic sourcing process that includes but is not limited to a rigorous market analysis, supplier risk analysis, and baseline spend analysis, to generate options and document a strategic sourcing plan that includes RFP execution, negotiations with suppliers, contract execution and implementation and monitoring of source recommendations.

The Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing – Indirect works closely with functional stakeholder management teams, across the Brands (operating lines), Corporate, and suppliers to ensure effective strategy development and implementation. This role requires someone with leadership experience, business savvy, and the ability to influence spend decisions.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Engages and collaborates with Carnival Cruise Line (CCL) stakeholders, Corporate, and sister brands. This position will be responsible for managing the category portfolio and have significant spend oversight in range of $100 - $200M in Opex/CapEx. This involves a) Developing and implementing multi-year growth plans for their categories or “business units”; b) Commercial awareness and continuously managing trends and gaps in the market that impact their category and in turn the companies supply chain; and c) Managing suppliers to ensure flow of products/services to company is unhindered.
• Manages Strategic Sourcing Initiatives utilizing a 7-step strategic sourcing process (including but not limited to a market analysis, supplier risk analysis, baseline spend analysis, RFP execution, formal negotiation strategy and plan, contracting and implementation and monitoring of source recommendation). They negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts on behalf of Carnival engaging with suppliers at the COO and CEO level. Manages Contracts and Key Supplier Relationships.
• They lead, develop, and implement an integrated strategic process across their assigned category or categories. This role will work with CCL stakeholders, Corporate, and sister brands to identify strategic sourcing opportunities that effectively leverage our size and scale to deliver a competitive economic advantage while maintaining or improving quality and service levels. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Analyze call volume and staffing needs to determine overtime, undertime and communicate to contact center teams on needed coverage to ensure KPI’s are being met. Analyze trends and variances to call levels to determine if they are within acceptable ranges of the forecast plan. These include call volume, AHT and staff shrinkage. When needed provide previous day analysis detailing reason for not meeting KPI’s, operations actions and end results based on the plan of action.
• Monitor real time adherence/staffing and communicate with contact center team to ensure on/off phone activity is managed efficiently throughout the day. Based on agent performance metrics, make recommendations to management based on Key Performance Indicators, (KPIs) level gaps and needs. Monitor outsourcing contact center partner staffing levels and utilization.
• Analyze and maintain the entitlements, (PTO, Sick Floating Holiday), and group allowance within the Workforce Management tool, based on historical trends and staffing levels. Based on the analysis, provides the time off allowances for the contact center workforce to adjust according. Manage the PTO bid process to ensure compliance with the ranking system rules. Analyze PTO submissions and approve/deny based on their effect on operations
Meets with call center Coaches/Managers to maintain strong relationships by collaborating with them on identified opportunities for improvement in both efficiency and agent satisfaction. Support call center coaches on reviewing schedule adherence and changes in trends.
Analyze and adjust agent skill levels based on WFP Matrix and make necessary recommendations to ensure efficiencies and meeting KPI’s.
• Manage scheduling and optimization of exceptions for activities such as seminars; trainings, meetings, breakout sessions, coaching, and town halls events based on staffing demands and without impacting service levels.
• Analyze and generate call count reports to senior leadership with call volume, AHT, staffing, and booking information including detailed explanation for any unexpected variances and missed KPI’s
• Maintain eWorkforce Management software (Alvaria); includes adding of new hires, changes to department, supervisors, and removal of associates upon resignation/termination. Ensure staffing numbers are accurate and updated within Alvaria and CMS Agent Groups. Provide Alvaria training for Contact Center new hires.

• Cooperate with Purchasing Department in evaluation of suppliers, vendors and product proposals
• Manage Attractions technical operations budget
• 25-50% travel

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Attractions, Civil, and/or Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years’ experience in related field
• AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera
• Solid knowledge of Attractions technical and mechanical repairs
