About the Role

This is a Manager level position within the Corporate Strategy team. The group is responsible for driving a broad range of global strategic initiatives including M&A, organic and strategic partnership opportunities from evaluation through to completion. This is a mid-level role that will interface with both members of Corporate Strategy and key stake holders across Cboe to develop and implement Cboe’s corporate strategy. This role will play a critical part in making sure strategic objectives are met on time and with outstanding precision, while keeping executive management and team members continually updated pre and post execution.

Please note: Our ideal candidate will be able to work on site up to 1-2 days per week in our NYC or Chicago office. We are flexible though and open to considering remote candidates.

Responsibilities
• Lead large scale projects to ensure exceptional execution by working with internal and external stake holders
• Develop project execution frameworks that identify project milestones and significant blockers, opportunities and 3rd party contingencies that may impact delivery
• Partner with senior leadership and internal teams to ensure each domain is well represented and accounted for inside each initiative
• Track and provide updates on all strategic initiatives across M&A, Organic and partnership categories
• Ensure an enterprise-wide view is considered when driving strategic value and project execution
• Think strategically about the impact of business trends, competitive dynamics, emerging shifts in exchange business and technology may have to Cboe’s market position and long-term success
• Work with the Corporate Strategy team on long-term strategic planning and market analysis

Required Skills/Expertise
• General understanding of financial markets, exchange competitive landscape and financial products
• Exceptional project management skills and an ability to lead cross functional initiatives across all internal Cboe stake holder groups
• Ability to research, analyze, organize and execute large scale complex strategic initiatives against key deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present or provide periodic updates to key groups, including Cboe’s Executive Committee
• Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
• Min 5-7 years of experience in financial services and/or consulting industries

As required by the New York City Human Rights Law, Cboe provides a reasonable range of minimum base salary for roles that may be performed in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, level of experience, etc. For New York City only, the range of starting base salary for this role is $121,000-$178,000. Additional incentive compensation and benefits may be available.

The Head of Curriculum Development is an instructional designer that has passion for creating engaging, innovative, and effective learning solutions and will provide continued leadership and support for the development of the OI curriculum via different mediums. These mediums may include, but are not limited to, e-learning, in class learning, and interactive simulations. In this role the Head of Curriculum Development will:
• Create the framework for learning paths across the on-demand and live-streaming virtual class curriculums

• Develop class materials, modules, experiential learning opportunities, and assessments that transform complex concepts into digestible, memorable materials

Qualifications:
• Degree, training, or significant experience in and passion for Instructional Design, Research, Educational Psychology, or similar
• Three or more years’ experience in a senior role designing and developing outcomes-driven learning solutions including use of industry-standard course authoring tools and learning management systems
• Demonstrated experience in designing education programs that leverage various synchronous and asynchronous learning formats (including, but not limited to, e-learning, simulations, videos and animations, scripts, games, lesson plans, supplemental resources/handouts, homework, evaluations/assessments)
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex products and processes and translate into learning solutions that ensures learner understanding and retention
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically and critically in developing solutions to complex problems
• Comfortable writing curriculum content up to bachelor’s degree level for retail and institutional clients
• Strong ability to measure results and impact, and provide and receive feedback to continuously improve curricula and the achievement of learner goals
• Keep current with education and learning industry trends, best practices, new technologies, and emerging approaches; well-founded recommendations on how to leverage within The Options Institute
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders internally and externally and work cross-functionally with instructors, writers, (graphic, web) designers, project manager, and marketers
• A modular approach to learning design; elements can be easily modified, reused, and exchanged in line with best practices and data. Rapid prototyping preferred
• Certifications in one or more course authoring and multi-media tools
• Familiarity with the Understanding By Design framework

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
• College degree and 2+ years of HR Generalist experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and in matrixed, high-growth organizations.
• Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel.)
• HRIS experience a plus, specifically Workday, if not, we will train.
• Ability to manage a high volume of assignments, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, meet strict deadlines, and multi-task in a detail-oriented and fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service orientation. Highly motivated, with an enthusiasm for and interest in how HR supports and contributes to the business.
