Job Summary:

Proctors support the testing functions of the Tenth Street Testing
Center by administering and proctoring exams while ensuring
security of exams before and after completion.

Essential Functions:
• Perform job duties in accordance with Columbia College’s

Student Affairs.
• Coordinate testing set-up and maintain orderly appearance of
testing lab.
• Successfully communicate testing lab protocols to examinees in
a clear and concise manner and ensure examinees understand said

• Address and report any and all technology, behavior and
academic integrity issues with students to the Testing Center

academic integrity of exam administration.
• Responsible for maintaining security of testing environment,

Job Summary:

The Recruitment Specialist will be the primary contact for
potential new students in their assigned recruitment territory.
They will be responsible for providing accurate information about
the school, majors and programs, financial aid basics and
counseling students through the admissions process through new

all student types, including full and part-time, in-seat and
online, traditional and adult learners, undergraduate and graduate,
and military and civilian students. The Recruitment Specialist will
be responsible for recruiting prospective students by conducting
effective direct outreach, coordinating recruiting events, visiting
high schools, junior/community colleges, military installations or
business partners, attending college fairs, and providing group and
individual information sessions and presentations where possible.
The Recruitment Specialist will be expected to build and maintain
positive relationships with students and referral partners to
increase enrollment yield. Other duties include basic counseling on
financial aid and cost, analyzing territory trends, serving as a
resource connection point, and serving on the appropriate
graduation team for the assigned territory.

• Effective autonomous decision-making and time management

Description:

The Nursing Department at Columbia College invites applications for
a full-time faculty position in Nursing at our Columbia, Missouri
location, beginning August 2023. The College offers 14-month
Associate of Science in Nursing and 3-year Bachelor of Science in
Nursing programs of study, preparing nearly 100 graduates a year to
sit for the RN licensure exam. The Department also delivers an
online RN-BSN degree. The associate's program has ACEN
accreditation and the baccalaureate programs are accredited with
CCNE. The Department boasts state-of-the-art facilities on main
campus Columbia, downtown Columbia, and Lake Ozark, MO
locations.

Teaching responsibilities may include courses in Fundamentals,
Health Assessment, Professional Nursing Practice, Pathophysiology,
Leadership and Management, Medical-Surgical, and NCLEX Review.
Coverage of other/additional Nursing theory and practice courses
may be assigned according to individual qualifications and
departmental need.

The teaching workload equivalent of 24 credit hours covers August
through May, annually, with summers off. Nursing faculty members
commonly teach a combination of 16-week BSN and 8-week ASN courses.
Nursing faculty loads are mostly composed of didactic instruction,
with some skills and simulation laboratories, and clinical
instruction coverage, as needed. Teaching, service, and
professional development are required aspects of the position.
Strong interpersonal skills, cross-cultural sensitivity, and
demonstrated potential to contribute positively to a college
community are expected. Funding for conference attendance and other
professional development activities is provided on an annual basis.
Competitive salary is commensurate with credentials and
experience.

Departmental service responsibilities of faculty include, but is
not limited to, admission and recruiting events, academic advising,
curriculum development, academic assessment, and collaboration
across instructional venues. Faculty are expected to participate in
the Faculty Association and its committees and to support
co-curricular activities. Occasional afternoon, evening, or weekend
commitments are to be expected.

The Nursing Department consists of 16 full-time faculty and staff.
ASN cohorts of up to 32 students are accepted twice a year and a
BSN cohort of up to 40 students is admitted annually at the
Columbia location.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include a Master's Degree with a major in
Nursing, for Instructor rank, non-tenure track, and an unencumbered
Missouri registered nurse license or eligibility for licensure in
Missouri.

Preferred Qualifications:

A relevant doctoral degree would qualify the successful candidate
for tenure-track Assistant Professor rank. Current workplace
experience in an associated field and /or college teaching
experience are highly desired.
