About the Questionnaire & Scoring Evolution Team
The QSE Team is part of the wider ESG Disclosure Content Team which sits in the Environmental Impact Department. It is responsible for the development of CDP’s questionnaires, reporting guidance, and scoring methodology materials which provide environmental information to investors, customers and other data users, and drive companies’ actions to catalyse the transition to a sustainable economy. It also supports the delivery of these materials into CDPs disclosure system as part of the annual reporting cycle. QSE works closely with a variety of other teams and functions across CDP.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting in tasks and projects related to the development of the corporate questionnaires, reporting guidance, and scoring methodologies – across climate change and other environmental disclosure areas. Including, but not limited to:
• Prioritizing data points/metrics from relevant sustainability standards/frameworks and translating into developments for the evolution of CDP’s corporate questionnaires and reporting guidance.
• Analysing response data and conducting desk-based research to inform the questionnaire and scoring developments.
• Analysing stakeholder feedback and using the conclusions and recommendations to improve CDP’s questionnaires and data outputs.
• Drafting and proofreading content for technical documents.
• Supporting the QSE Managers in working with the Environmental Practice teams to ensure the evolution of CDP’s corporate questionnaires and scoring methodologies reflect CDP’s strategy and ambitions for a sustainable economy.
• Providing subject matter expertise and analytical support across CDP’s broader activities related to disclosure content, including but not restricted to:
• Contributing to projects (e.g. funded projects, publications, engagement events etc.).
• Preparing presentations and presenting information to colleagues, companies, and other stakeholders.
• Supporting the planning, implementation, and optimization of processes and procedures related to the evolution of CDP’s disclosure content.

Required skills and experience
• A relevant academic qualification and at least 2 years of professional experience working with environmental issues, preferably obtained in a corporate or consultancy focused role.
• A demonstrable understanding of the global sustainability agenda and of environmental-related risks, opportunities, impacts, and dependencies for companies.
• Strong communication skills, including a high standard of written English and the ability to present complex information in a simple and concise way.
• A high level of motivation, confident and collaborative working style, and excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to organize and interpret qualitative and quantitative data with advanced MS skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• The ability to work effectively and efficiently with team members of different technical and cultural backgrounds.
• Strong time management, problem-solving and organizational skills, with an ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure.
Desirable skills (one or more of the following would be an advantage)
• Master’s level degree in environmental science, or with an emphasis on corporate environmental performance.
• Professional industry/commercial experience in a role with an emphasis on environmental management or supply chains.
• Demonstrable technical expertise related to either climate change, forests risk commodity supply chains, land use, or water security.
