About the roleAs a result of our ongoing investment into our cyber capability, a newly created opportunity has arisen to join our expanding cyber security team. Reporting to the Cyber Engineering and Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for identifying key threats to the business, in addition to supporting the design and implementation of cyber security controls and defences against threats in cloud and on-premises environments.Working as part of the Engineering & Assurance portfolio, you will be viewed as a go-to person and subject matter expert for the Cyber Security Assurance capability across a broad range of ICT led projects, including our HPC merger program and associated operations. Key responsibilities include: Engaging with business stakeholders and maintaining awareness of new systems and cloud platforms and their ramifications on the organization’s cyber security and risk posture. Acting as a key contact point for cyber security assurance across the business. Developing... technical hardening guidelines. Providing Cyber Security Approval for change activities across the business. Participating in the maintenance and execution of activities within the cyber strategy. Assisting in the evaluation, design and implementation of security technologies and approaches. Identifying environment gaps or misalignment with industry frameworks such as NIST, ASD Essential 8, MITRE ATT&CK. Communicating security issues and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Supporting and mentoring other team members within the Cyber Security capability and broader Technology teams as it relates to cyber security. Contributing to the emerging DevSecOps capability stream Promoting a sound risk culture by routinely analysing, avoiding, mitigating or accepting risks. About youIdeally, we’re looking for a self-starter who can deliver multiple objectives concurrently from concept to realisation. Working with various stakeholder groups, you must be able to easily identify and track emerging threats with a focus on cloud technologies and be able to communicate these findings in simple terms to specific stakeholder groups and leadership.You must also be able to demonstrate the following: Experience in implementing data security controls in cloud applications and environments including Azure, AWS, Salesforce, M365, Mulesoft Understanding and experience in working with cloud network security solutions such as CASB, WAF, DKIM/SPF/DMARC, SSL Experience in providing production support in an enterprise/corporate level information security environment with a working knowledge of server, desktop and network concepts and environments. Good analytical, problem-solving and time management skills with attention to detail and an absolute focus on data quality and accuracy Strong interpersonal skills, together with a flexible approach.
