• Work with the Networking team to install, configure, and maintain Cisco networking infrastructure (routers, switches).
• Work with the Networking team to install, configure, document (map/diagram), and maintain the Clark College network infrastructure following industry best practices.
• Assist the telecommunications specialist with cabling infrastructure.
• Work with the Networking team on supporting and enhancing our Ruckus enterprise Wi-Fi system.
• Work with the Cyber Security team to implement security frameworks and solutions on existing infrastructure.
• Assist with evaluating, implementing, and managing cloud solutions following industry best practices on scalability and security.
• Assist the Campus Safety and Security department with technology as it relates to physical security (e.g. electronic locks, emergency notification systems).
• Act as a consultant to faculty and staff responding to inquiries, evaluating and implementing solutions, and solving problems.
• Act as a liaison between the Network Services team and the Computer Support team, communicating issues, changes, and initiatives that may impact other staff members' ability to support the user community.
• Assist and help train colleagues across the division as well as the campus.
• Perform research, planning, testing, and implementation activities related to technology initiatives.
• Document work in the department's call tracking system and knowledge base.
• Maintain a "Change Log" which informs the department staff of changes made to the servers or network environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Associates Degree in computer related field AND one year of experience OR equivalent related work experience; additional relevant experience may be substituted for degree on year-to-year basis.
