The Carlson School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Clark

The Department of Computer Science at Clark University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position to begin Fall 2023 semester. This is a full time non-tenure line indefinitely renewable position based upon satisfactory performance.
The primary role of teaching faculty members at Clark encompasses maintaining an active teaching program, curriculum development, student advising, and service. Teaching faculty are key contributors to the academic mission of the university, that is to prepare students to meet the challenges of a complex and rapidly changing society. At Clark, we value commitment to excellence in traditional academic disciplines as well as innovation in exploring questions that cross disciplinary boundaries. The Department of Computer Science values and promotes interdisciplinary collaborations. The teaching statement should describe philosophy of teaching, teaching experience, course topics able to teach, and teaching methods employed. Candidates must submit a teaching sample, broadly defined as an artifact from course taught. This may include a course material such as lecture material, class exercise, syllabus, etc. Candidates may optionally include teaching evaluations. Please also provide contact information of at least 2 referees for recommendation letters. These letters should speak specifically to teaching experience and ability or potential for teaching. Additional information pertinent to the position, such as service and diversity, is welcome.
