JOB DUTIES:

35% - Essential - Administrative HR Liaison - Dean's Office:

Manage and provide support for CAAH Dean's office hires. Manage and organize paperwork related to HR responsibilities, approvals, offer letters, dual/overload forms, PARs. Manage on-boarding and off-boarding, I-9 forms, employment hire forms. Maintain confidential personnel files and archives ensuring State, Federal and University policies. Manage offer letters process to obtain Dean's signature. Payroll Administration: Serve as Advanced/Lead Timekeeper for the College. At pay period close, sign off on 0501 and ensure any College pending requests are completed, justifying any outstanding employee time requests via Supervisor.

30% - Essential - Special Events/Projects:

Work with special initiatives within the Dean's office (Humanities Hub Admin/Humanities Hall Room Coordinator).

15% - Essential - Administrative Support:

Maintain all confidential HR files for the college. Process and manage deletions list. Handle all financial matters for Dean's office.

15% - Essential - Credentialing College Coordinator:

Works closely with Office of Institutional Research to manage faculty credentialing process for CAAH. Receives and reviews faculty transcripts and Certification of Credentials form. Works with hiring department to ensure this task is performed in a timely manner.

5% - Essential - Foreign Travel Coordinator:

Review and process all CAAH Foreign travel requests received for Associate Dean approval. Coordinate additional approval process by sending form to VP of Research Export Control Officer and ensuring forms are returned to departments in a timely manner, while keeping accurate files of all approved forms for future reference.

45% - Essential - Operations: Conducts routine plant inspections and maintenance to ensure NPDES Permit release requirements are met. Obtains samples throughout the Wastewater Treatment Plant Water System to ensure permit requirements and operating licensing requirements are met. Operates and monitors plant control systems and alarms with the development in implementation of new control strategies. Identifies, adjusts, and repairs system problems through monitoring, visual observation, and based on interpretation of laboratory test results and guidelines.

45% - Essential - Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance: Performs routine maintenance, outage maintenance, and housekeeping. Rebuilds pumps, valves, and actuators. Replaces motors and control instrumentation and sensors. Replaces bearings, transmission, and drive equipment on various Wastewater Treatment Plant equipment. Installs and replaces filters, gasket, cylinders, O-rings, and seals. Troubleshoots and performs minor repairs to existing electronics, electrical control systems, and instrumentation serving Wastewater Treatment Plant equipment. Performs other preventative equipment maintenance tasks, lubrication, and painting as needed.

10% - Essential - Laboratory Testing and Management: Performs control tests and laboratory calculations for residual chlorine, dissolved oxygen, pH and suspended solids. Description

The Department of Finance in the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers
College of Business at Clemson University invites applications for
multiple full time (nine months), non-tenure track positions. The
preferred candidates are expected to be hired as Lecturers. The
compensation package is competitive and includes benefits. The
positions are term-limited and renewable annually based on
performance and availability of funding.

Job duties will include teaching four (4) in-person courses each
semester (fall and spring) at the undergraduate level for courses
such as Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Investment
Analysis, Financial Markets and Institutions, Principles of Real
Estate, and/or other classes based on areas of expertise. Course
teaching assignments typically include two to three preps and may
vary across semesters. Faculty members are also expected to make
service contributions to the department, Wilbur O. and Ann Powers
College of Business, and Clemson University. The anticipated start
date is August 15, 2023.

Clemson University is a R1 Carnegie designated, land-grant
competitive admissions institution with total enrollment
approaching 25,000 students. The Finance program currently has over
nine hundred finance majors, 13 tenured/tenure-track faculty
members, two clinical faculty members, and four full-time
lecturers. Clemson is a small college town nestled in the Blue

Qualifications

Applicants must have at least a master's degree in finance or a
strongly related field (e.g., Master of Business Administration).
Preference will be given to candidates with applicable industry
experience or comparable teaching experience. All applicants should
have potential for excellence in teaching, excellent communication
skills, and a willingness to teach a wide variety of finance
classes at the undergraduate level.
