35% - Essential - Administrative HR Liaison - Dean's Office:
Manage and provide support for CAAH Dean's office hires. Manage and organize paperwork related to HR responsibilities, approvals, offer letters, dual/overload forms, PARs. Manage on-boarding and off-boarding, I-9 forms, employment hire forms. Maintain confidential personnel files and archives ensuring State, Federal and University policies. Manage offer letters process to obtain Dean's signature. Payroll Administration: Serve as Advanced/Lead Timekeeper for the College. At pay period close, sign off on 0501 and ensure any College pending requests are completed, justifying any outstanding employee time requests via Supervisor.
30% - Essential - Special Events/Projects:
Work with special initiatives within the Dean's office (Humanities Hub Admin/Humanities Hall Room Coordinator).
15% - Essential - Administrative Support:

Donors may use a Will, Trusts, Real Estate, Charitable Designations on accounts, Qualified Charitable Distributions, etc. Assist Senior Associate VP to petition and secure assets designated for Clemson and various supporting organizations. Work closely with University and Foundation partners to follow policies and procedures. Maintain current working knowledge of estate planning, gifts, trusts, etc. Serve as a liaison for the Gift & Estate Planning Program with prospects/donors and their legal and financial advisors. Prepare complex endowment and gift status reports for donors and administrators. Synchronize the publication of the Planned Giving Newsletter ensuring accurate maintenance of the CDT programs websites.
25% - Essential - University Deferred Gifts Inventory Coordination:
Work closely with the Senior Associate Vice President to ensure all documentation has been received from development officers and donors. Coordinate with CUF partners and advancement team members to officially book all deferred gift commitments. Serve as the resource for all future gift commitments and pledges that need to be processed and recorded into our database. Prepare and maintain detailed reports and gift summaries for donors and leadership team. Synchronize the publication of the Planned Giving Newsletter ensuring accurate maintenance of the CDT programs websites.
25% - Essential - Talent Management and Budget Oversight:
Serve as HR liaison for Central Development Team (CDT). Collaborate with Office of Human Resources to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Create and implement strategic talent management efforts. Coordinate on boarding and off boarding of employees, training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities. Administer performance management and review process. Plan and execute monthly team meetings and bi-annual retreats for CDT. Coordinate Departmental budget. Supervise Administrative Coordinator.
10% - Essential - Program Management:
Produce accurate performance reporting on a weekly basis to key stakeholders in CDT and Advancement Leadership. Actively engage in prospect management efforts related to performance metrics, opportunities, action review of CDT Development Officers to ensure proper crediting for gifts, as needed. Develop protocols for greater efficiency for entering documentation of actions, proposals, and other performance related metrics.
10% - Essential - Football Suites:
Create and maintain the CDT program process, timeline, and criteria for the team's allocation of President's Suite invitations/tickets. Communicate and train team members on the procedure and provide ongoing guidance and consultation as needed. Compile and maintain the master invitation list and track RSVPs received against CDT ticket allocation. Manage the dynamic wait list for each game throughout the season. Collaborate with Events team on processes, special accommodations, and other related items as needed.

Specifically, the fellow will optimize pathogen recovery methods
used on porous surfaces, develop protocols to test disinfectant
efficacy against both viruses and bacterial endospores on porous
surfaces, and investigate the effect of frequent antimicrobial
usage on the physical and chemical properties of various surfaces.
The data generated from the above innovative research will inform
disinfection procedures that can be used in food establishments,
healthcare facilities, and public spaces.
Candidates should be able to design and conduct microbiological
studies that include culturing, detection, and isolation of human
bacterial pathogens and be willing to learn techniques for virology
studies and porous surface characterization. The postdoctoral
fellow will work with a multi-disciplinary team who have expertise
in food microbiology, food safety education, material science,
virology, and disinfecting chemistry. The fellow will be expected
to communicate results through abstracts and presentations, and
publications in peer-reviewed journals. Opportunities to develop
grantsmanship skills will be provided. The fellow is expected to
assist the PI (Dr. Xiuping Jiang, a Food Microbiologist) on lab
management, supervision, and interaction with graduate and
undergraduate students.
In addition to these primary projects, the postdoctoral fellow will
also have opportunities to interact with industry collaborators and
contribute to ongoing research projects funded by the industry.
