CRITICAL BACKGROUND AND CAPABILITIES
The successful candidate will have substantial experience conducting high-quality academic research on inflation and related topics as evidenced by an extensive publication record, expertise in monetary policy advising, excellent communication skills, strategic vision, and the ability to lead a group of Ph.D. economists. A Ph.D. in economics or finance is required. Prior management experience is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated success commensurate with experience in publishing research related to inflation and related topics in top academic journals.
• Experience using a range of analytical and empirical tools and models related to inflation and macroeconomic analysis.
• Ability to provide in-depth advice on matters related to monetary policy.
• Ability to think strategically and with a growth mindset, potentially outside of traditional reporting boundaries, to elevate the reputation of the Center for Inflation Research.
• Capacity to successfully oversee, manage, and direct a team of Ph.D. economists.
• Demonstrated ability to develop productive and collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization. Strong interpersonal skills with experience in communicating concepts, messages, and key information to benefit the function, the Bank, and key stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex economics concepts to members of the general public through a variety of formats, including in the Bank's Economic Commentary series, through public outlook speeches, and in media interviews.

The Enterprise Data Services (EDS) organization has an immediate opening for a Cloud Data Architect. We are looking for a strategist who leans toward delivery and drives execution with patience and urgency.
The Federal Reserve System's cloud data platform provides a common, centralized, end-to-end data and analytics platform that enables advanced data management and analytics solutions for business lines across the Federal Reserve System. We work with state-of-the-art technologies that are part of the next generation data ecosystem, which includes products and services used for data ingestion, storage, processing, integration, data lakes, warehousing, and data analytics.
As an advanced architect, you will have an opportunity to showcase your critical thinking and technical skills across many disciplines and across the Federal Reserve System. This role is instrumental in shaping the direction of enterprise data. A high-level goal of this position is to be a leader of product line architecture for enterprise data services as well as a product design specialist. You will work closely with the product line enterprise architect, and cross-functionally within an Agile program with other Architects, Product Owners, Design Engineers, Developers, and Business Analysts in a rapidly evolving environment to make this happen. As an Architect, you will be accountable for documented secure and scalable architecture to fulfill business needs. What You Will Do:
• Define architecture principles, patterns, data flows schematics, blueprints, guidelines, and standard methodologies and outlines high-level integrated designs to meet requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience. Advance degree preferred.
• Must have a proven track record as a technology transformational leader in the data platform and analytics space.
• Must have business acumen skills to understand and anticipate business priorities.
• Must have experience with leveraging CI/CD pipelines in cloud and Infrastructure (IAC) and Code scripting.
