Leadership Opportunity:

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking a Vice President or Assistant Vice President to lead the Center for Inflation Research. The successful candidate will supervise a group of Ph.D. economists, engage in research on inflation and related issues, advise the Bank's President on economic conditions and policy issues, and seek to improve public understanding of inflation and the factors that influence its behavior. This position reports directly to the Director of Research.

Specific expectations of the role include:
• Strategically leading the Center for Inflation Research and managing its team of Ph.D. economists.
• Conducting high-quality academic research on inflation and related topics.
• Driving engagement with and messaging to the public, by dynamically managing and expanding the Center for Inflation Research's external website presence, giving public outlook speeches, commenting on inflation developments in interviews with media outlets, and providing other outreach to the public.
• Playing a senior role in monetary policy preparations within the Research department through participation in and oversight of policy briefings for the President in preparation for meetings of the Federal Open Market Committee.
• Providing leadership in organizing and managing the Center for Inflation Research's annual Inflation: Drivers and Dynamics conference series, other conference series, seminars, visiting scholars, and related innovative programs to build team capability, highlight department expertise, and serve as a resource to the economics profession.
• Overseeing staff development to produce academic research, inform policy decisions, and provide public outreach.
• Representing the Bank and assuming leadership positions at the Federal Reserve System level, including developing, recommending, and implementing significant System initiatives, and participating in industry and professional organizations.
• Working with the Bank's data manager and Research IT team to help assess analytical data needs and to ensure appropriate cross-functional access to data that supports collaboration.
• Working collaboratively with the other officers of the Research Department in a leadership capacity to actively promote employee engagement, enhance research productivity, and support the policy process.
CRITICAL BACKGROUND AND CAPABILITIES

The successful candidate will have substantial experience conducting high-quality academic research on inflation and related topics as evidenced by an extensive publication record, expertise in monetary policy advising, excellent communication skills, strategic vision, and the ability to lead a group of Ph.D. economists. A Ph.D. in economics or finance is required. Prior management experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated success commensurate with experience in publishing research related to inflation and related topics in top academic journals.
• Experience using a range of analytical and empirical tools and models related to inflation and macroeconomic analysis.
• Ability to provide in-depth advice on matters related to monetary policy.
• Ability to think strategically and with a growth mindset, potentially outside of traditional reporting boundaries, to elevate the reputation of the Center for Inflation Research.
• Capacity to successfully oversee, manage, and direct a team of Ph.D. economists.
• Demonstrated ability to develop productive and collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization. Strong interpersonal skills with experience in communicating concepts, messages, and key information to benefit the function, the Bank, and key stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex economics concepts to members of the general public through a variety of formats, including in the Bank's Economic Commentary series, through public outlook speeches, and in media interviews.

The Enterprise Data Services (EDS) organization has an immediate opening for a Cloud Data Architect. We are looking for a strategist who leans toward delivery and drives execution with patience and urgency.

The Federal Reserve System's cloud data platform provides a common, centralized, end-to-end data and analytics platform that enables advanced data management and analytics solutions for business lines across the Federal Reserve System. We work with state-of-the-art technologies that are part of the next generation data ecosystem, which includes products and services used for data ingestion, storage, processing, integration, data lakes, warehousing, and data analytics.

As an advanced architect, you will have an opportunity to showcase your critical thinking and technical skills across many disciplines and across the Federal Reserve System. This role is instrumental in shaping the direction of enterprise data. A high-level goal of this position is to be a leader of product line architecture for enterprise data services as well as a product design specialist. You will work closely with the product line enterprise architect, and cross-functionally within an Agile program with other Architects, Product Owners, Design Engineers, Developers, and Business Analysts in a rapidly evolving environment to make this happen. As an Architect, you will be accountable for documented secure and scalable architecture to fulfill business needs. You will also mentor and coach seasoned engineers who may have limited cloud and transformation experience.

As part of the National IT team, our cloud data service team works with multiple business lines, the Federal Reserve Board, and multiple IT groups from Federal Reserve System districts.

What You Will Do:
• Define architecture principles, patterns, data flows schematics, blueprints, guidelines, and standard methodologies and outlines high-level integrated designs to meet requirements.

About the Opportunity

The Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) BDG has an immediate opening for an Enterprise Architect, FRFS BDG (Architect-SP1). Reporting to the National IT Associate Vice President of Architecture, the FRFS BDG Enterprise/Business Architect will partner with the FRFS Retail Product Office and other FRFS business lines to translate business goals into IT capabilities that service partners can deliver as technical solutions. With an eye towards the future, Enterprise Architects also help ensure the technical integrity of IT strategic plans and roadmaps. SP1s drive technical performance for major programs and System-wide initiatives. The Retail Product Office within FRFS has oversight responsibilities for Check and ACH processing. The FRFS sets the strategic direction for these services, coordinates projects impacting the services and their customers, and ensures that retail operating sites meet service level agreements for resiliency and performance.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensures alignment of strategic plans with technology roadmaps and that strategic plans and solutions are designed and implemented to align with technology roadmaps.

• Strategic planning skills and experience, and a proven track record of increasing business value through appropriate technology innovation

Job Description

Develops consolidated financial and other reporting for Senior Vice President over and other leadership within Bank Operations. • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, 6+ years (7+ years for Sr Developer) of professional work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts appropriate to the function

Knowledge and Skills
• Moderately to highly complex analytical skills
• Moderate to extensive knowledge of domain, regulations, procedures and practices of a specific discipline and/or business line
• Ability to perform moderate to highly complex independent research
• Moderate to highly specialized, technical skills in applicable technologies such as Java, Angular and SQL/DB programming
• Master with Agile development methodologies
• Proficient knowledge of applicable development domain
• Expertise with Object Oriented design and development including a thorough understanding of OO design patterns and practices.
• Proficient with test driven development
• Continuous integration & deployment experience
• Experience with Cloud technologies is a plus

Physical Demands and General Working Conditions
• Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
