About our team:
We're a group of people that love to learn, collaborate and solve large-scale problems. We're looking for an inquisitive, curious and talented DesignOps intern to join our team.
Cloudflare currently sits in front of almost 10% of global internet traffic, and we are growing every day. Your work will impact and influence the user experience of a product used by millions of people daily. The Product Experience team (PX) is an exciting, fast-paced and supportive place to work and grow. As a Cloudflare PX DesignOps intern, you will learn and support a group of talented designers.
If you are a creative problem solver, connector, and phenomenal communicator who embraces change and is eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you. You will play a crucial role in supporting the People, Process, and Product portfolio of the PX team. Your primary objective as a DesignOps intern will be to help design and execute on a scalable process improvement plan for specific operations projects. The position is intended to help you gain hands-on experience about supporting impact-driven programs for our PX team. You will gain a strong understanding of process design, meeting facilitation, effective communication practices, as well as measurement and enablement.
What you'll do
• Support PX team members in their day-to-day work
• Your key project will be to learn and evaluate the team's current processes, establish reporting and key metrics, and help to create an internal process that would optimize day-to-day workflow—maximizing engagement and reducing duplicated efforts, effectively using data and insights to identify critical gaps and weaknesses of existing processes
• Contributing to the standardization, interpretation, and implementation of design operations
• Tracking the impact of our work to help the team evaluate opportunities for continued improvements
• Help to organize team activities, build a stronger PX culture
• Share what you learn internally when possible
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge, and experience
• Understanding of UX/product design process, familiar with product design and management tools including but not limited to Figma, GSuite, Jira and Confluence
• Effective visual, written, and verbal communication skills
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt to changing situations
• Understanding and interest in analytical, reporting methods and tools are a plus.
Requirements
• Currently in their last year of pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Design Strategy, Design management, Business, Communications, or Business Administration. Note: this is an operation position, not a product design position.
• Aspire to build a career within the creative, product experience industry

What Makes Cloudflare Special?
We're not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company. We're a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul. Fundamental to our mission to help build a better Internet is protecting the free and open Internet.
Project Galileo: We equip politically and artistically important organizations and journalists with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare's enterprise customers-at no cost.
Athenian Project: We created Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration.
Path Forward Partnership: Since 2016, we have partnered with Path Forward, a nonprofit organization, to create 16-week positions for mid-career professionals who want to get back to the workplace after taking time off to care for a child, parent, or loved one.
1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released. Here's the deal - we don't store client IP addresses never, ever. We will continue to abide by our privacy commitment and ensure that no user data is sold to advertisers or used to target consumers.
