Successful applicants for this CMS Fellowship should have a background in one or more of the following areas, and be able to provide CMS with program improvement recommendations and modern quality improvement strategies that are suited for a pandemic world and the current realities of the health system:
• Healthcare delivery at the frontlines – hospitals, nursing homes, clinician practices, home health, hospice.
• Community Health
• Healthcare policy
• Data management and Analytics
• Improvement science

Applicants should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Patient safety and quality
• Chronic disease management – Diabetes, Hypertension, Cardiac Health
• Care coordination
• Value-based care
• Health equity
• Behavioral health

Duration:

Appointments are made in 1-year increments for a maximum of 4 years.

Location:

This is a remote position; however, the Office/position reports to a CMS Office on a periodic basis (1-2 times per year). Requirements to report to the office will vary and can be discussed at the time of interview. As such, your pay will be based on your home address. Your worksite must be within the United States and you must adhere to all regulations and policies regarding remote work at CMS and in the federal government, including the signing of a remote work agreement.

Salary:

This position can be filled through paid or non-paid opportunities, either at full-time or part-time employment. If paid, the salary range is $84,546 - $152,771 per year depending on your previous experience and where you live.
