Job Purpose

As a member of the student-athlete Academic Services (SAAS) team, the Student-Athlete Academic Advisor provides assistance to the director, advises and monitors assigned student-athletes, and supports the director of SAAS and the lead in the area of student-athlete development.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from and accredited institution minimum, interest in pursuing further education in a related field preferred. POSITION: The Department of Management and Marketing in the School of Business at the College of Charleston invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in Strategic Management/General Management beginning August 16, 2023. We will hire up to (2) positions.

We are looking for candidates with an established record of excellence in both research and teaching. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Management or a related field from an AACSB, EFMD, or EQUIS-accredited institution or be in the final year of their dissertation. Although our search is not limited to any individual sub-discipline, preferences will be given to candidates interested in research or teaching in one or more of the following areas: Diversity and Inclusion; Leadership and Sustainability, and Stakeholder Management. The candidate is expected to show potential to regularly publish in high-quality peer-reviewed management journals and maintain an active scholarly engagement.

Teaching responsibilities will include three courses per semester mostly at the undergraduate level with the opportunity to teach in the MBA program. In addition, it is expected that the new hire will regularly teach at least 1 section of the Management Capstone course, contribute to undergraduate programming, advise undergraduate students, and engage in service to the College, community, and profession as appropriate.

It is an exciting time to be a part of the School of Business at the College of Charleston. The School of Business houses ten undergraduate majors, an honors program, several interdisciplinary minors, an M.S. in Accountancy, and a one-year MBA. The Custodial Services Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and directing of all daily activities related to the custodial functions of the College, including residential facilities. This position will be responsible for testing and implementing a mobile device building inspection program. Serves as divisional safety liaison and provides monthly safety topics for supervisory staff to review with frontline staff. Acts as internal/divisional small projects coordinator and as divisional liaison with business partners/vendors.
Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and six years of institutional custodial services experience, three of which must be in a supervisory or management capacity. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, environmental management, facilities management or related field or equivalent experience relating to the custodial function within an educational or similar institution is preferred.

Previous experience working with a large contract custodial vendor is strongly preferred. Must have the ability to administer and manage a custodial contract and ensure contract compliance.

A valid SC driver’s license is required, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment, as the employee will be required to drive state vehicles to transport equipment and/or personnel.

Project Support: Works with PD&C project managers via project review process to ensure CBS needs and standards are met for all projects including renovations. This includes reviewing construction documents and providing comments and following up on comments. Attends project support team meetings, pre-bid meetings and punch list walk throughs. Works with campus scheduling office and floor work supervisor to schedule classrooms for floor work throughout the year.
