Job Summary:
The Compressor Design Engineer is a key member of the Advanced Technologies Applied Compression team, which works across the business to understand and develop compression technology to meet our customers' needs. In this role, you will solve technology needs through mechanical design, analysis, testing, qualification and manufacturing integration of screw and/or centrifugal compressors used in HVAC and refrigeration applications.

• Mechanical design of screw and/or centrifugal compressors from concept selection to detailed drawing, including design of pressure vessels, castings, bearings, lubrication systems, and seals.

Job Summary
The Compressor Technician maintains and operates natural gas reciprocating compressors, natural gas turbine compressors to ensure the continuous flow of natural gas to customers.
This position is responsible for compressor facilities to ensure they are operating in compliance with DOT regulations and available 24/7 to meet system pressure and flow requirements. The incumbent maintains good communication with Gas Control, Measurement and Engineering to help address operational needs and provide assistance and support to Gas Control on a daily basis, ensuring safe, accurate and uninterrupted flow of natural gas through transmission and distribution systems.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Perform routine maintenance and repair as well as emergency troubleshooting and repair on compressors, coolant systems, lube oil systems, valves and actuators, emergency power systems, emergency shutdown systems, safety systems and station and unit control systems.
• Work with other groups within PNG to maintain standard procedures and troubleshoot problems.
• Develop and maintain compressor site operating procedures manual, reports, permits and logs.
• Assure compliance with all applicable regulations (DOT, OSHA, EPA, etc.)
• Act as liaison with contractors involved with compressor site activities.
• Work closely with the engineering department in the identification of problems, implementing changes, and project oversight.

Job Summary
The Compressor Technician maintains and operates natural gas reciprocating compressors, natural gas turbine compressors to ensure the continuous flow of natural gas to customers.
This position is responsible for compressor facilities to ensure they are operating in compliance with DOT regulations and available 24/7 to meet system pressure and flow requirements. The incumbent maintains good communication with Gas Control, Measurement and Engineering to help address operational needs and provide assistance and support to Gas Control on a daily basis, ensuring safe, accurate and uninterrupted flow of natural gas through transmission and distribution systems.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Perform routine maintenance and repair as well as emergency troubleshooting and repair on compressors, coolant systems, lube oil systems, valves and actuators, emergency power systems, emergency shutdown systems, safety systems and station and unit control systems.
• Work with other groups within PNG to maintain standard procedures and troubleshoot problems.
• Develop and maintain compressor site operating procedures manual, reports, permits and logs.
• Assure compliance with all applicable regulations (DOT, OSHA, EPA, etc.)
• Act as liaison with contractors involved with compressor site activities.
• Work closely with the engineering department in the identification of problems, implementing changes, and project oversight.

The Role
Responsibilities:
Knowledge of Low pressure multi-stage and high speed air compressors, mechanical and electrical, preferred.
Perform repairs and rebuilds on Low pressure multi-stage and high speed blowers that are brought into the shop from the field. Perform diagnostics and assessment of incoming blowers as well as creating preliminary parts lists. Following repairs and rebuilds, work with the test team to verify and document the proper operating parameters of the blower, ensuring that quality standards are maintained for all equipment provided from the OriginAir blower shop.
Provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations. Develop rapport with Atlas Copco service teams and customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
Serve as an ambassador for the company, promoting the Atlas Copco "Way".
Display the ability to manage time accordingly. Must have the ability to work and solve problems independently. Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.
Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image to customers.
Perform all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer.
