Primary Responsibilities:
• Installation and technical assistance at various local business sites.
• Installation and configuration of hardware and software across multiple devices
• The majority of time spent traveling with hands-on tasks and emergency remote support.
• Transport, delivery, and setup of technical equipment.
• Training clients on company products and services, both on-site and remotely.
• Addressing issues related to Microsoft Windows / UNIX systems.
• Supporting users in virtual desktop environments and performing network troubleshooting
• Provide remote support through phone, chat, and other channels
• Manage emergency technical issues and ensure proper communication protocols
• Conducting stock checks, maintaining inventory records, and overseeing warehouseorganization.
• Keeping detailed logs, developing training materials, and updating CRM data.
• Maintaining and expanding knowledge in relevant technical areas.
Additional Duties:
• Regular checks on CRM data accuracy.
• Sourcing parts and maintaining company vehicles.
• Adhering to company SOPs and maintaining current Health and Safety procedures knowledge.
Experience Requirements:
• Proven experience as computer technician or similar role
• Experience working as a field technician with small local businesses is preferred
• Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Very good communication abilities
• Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+) will be an advantage
• Ability to lift or move around some heavy machines/kiosks/devices if needed
