Law and the U.S. Constitution in Global History (4 units)

This is a course about law and constitutionalism within and beyond the United States. By examining key constitutional moments, students will explore how legal meaning changes over time and learn about the global influence of the U.S. Constitution. One of the insights that the course seeks to convey is the extent to which legal ideas have crossed and re-crossed borders with an approach that is both comparative and dynamic.

This class may be postponed to a later semester if there are less than 6 students enrolled.

USC reserves the “Adjunct” appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year but, in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.

The base salary range for this position is $2,232 - $12,250 per semester. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the number of units per course, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Course: Nevada and U.S. Constitution

This course is a survey of Nevada Constitution, history, and government as well as U.S. Constitution and government.

What You Will Do:
• Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom
