This position is in the Office of Consumer Populations, Research, Monitoring, and Regulations (RMR) Division, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Incumbent leads the Office of Students and Young Consumers, which is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the development, implementation, and evaluation of CFPB's programs, policies, and systems to address the needs of students in respect to financial products, deceptive practices, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Director, Office of Students and Young Consumers, you will:
• Work with senior management to plan, establish, direct, coordinate and evaluate CFPB's Office of Students and Young Consumers programs and policies.
• Formulate and develop needed policies, procedures, and guidelines for conducting student functions effectively and efficiently.
• Manage student related policy, program,organizational, consumer and industry concerns. Continually models innovation, creativity, collaboration, and excellence and encourages these attributes among staff.
• Implement a comprehensive strategic vision, with goals and objectives that are communicated to staff and aligned to CFPB strategic objectives.
