Housing & Dining Services (HDS) works to create a safe and supportive on-campus living and learning environment. Reporting to the associate executive director of university housing & dining services, the director of university housing leads the vision to foster a vibrant and inclusive residential experience at CSU for its 8,700 residential students. This student-centered position supervises up to two associate directors, 2-5 assistant directors, and one program manager. The director provides vision and oversight for an additional team of 40 full-time professional staff, 24 graduate students, and 450-500 undergraduate student staff across the department. The portfolio includes shepherding diversity, inclusion, and assessment efforts; infusing student learning into the community development experience; and crisis response and management. The unit’s annual operating budget is $13 million.

Seven years of professional work experience with progressive levels of responsibility in housing and residence life in higher education and five years of direct supervision of full-time professional staff are required. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with university stakeholders, and have excellent supervision, organizational, and crisis management skills. The director must have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. Ten or more years of professional work experience in housing and residence life is preferred.

Position Summary

The Program Development, Communications and Department Administrator for the The School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME) will join a team that supports 70 faculty members representing 14 departments from across Colorado State University, 80 graduate students, and 400 undergraduate students to provide an interdisciplinary focus on improving health, fighting disease, and aiding persons with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will:
• Use their experience, creativity and advanced communication skills to execute on department storytelling, manage social media, and maintain the SBME’s website content. They will be responsible for publishing news, promoting events and other community engagement efforts, and managing multimedia including web, digital signs, and photography or video production.
• Use their well-honed organization and interpersonal skills to oversee all department and advising schedules/calendars, organize events such as E-Days, the Industry Advisory Board’s semiannual meetings, and the Graduate Seminar program.
• Posses experience in administrative management for a unit/office including budgeting (tracking expenditures and revenue), management of student staff, writing and maintaining desk references and manuals for the department’s use, and surveying stake holders regarding various initiatives among other tasks.

This position reports to the Director of the School of Biomedical Engineering.

Required Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, engineering, or relevant discipline.

Description of Work Unit

Colorado State University’s (CSU) Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) invites

nominations and applications for the position of Senior Research Administrator (SRA). Sponsored Programs is the primary coordinating and managerial office for externally funded activities of a contractual nature at CSU. OSP oversees the full-range of research administration from proposal review and submission to final invoicing and project close-out.

Position Summary

The Senior Research Administrator (SRA) reports to the Associate Director of Sponsored Programs. Senior Research Administrators serve as advocates for faculty in fostering outstanding research and scholarly activities and assure the responsible management of sponsored funds through regulatory and fiscal compliance oversight. The SRA also serves as delegated signature authority to sign Research and Sponsored Agreements, including master agreements, assistance awards, sub-awards, research contracts, material transfer agreements, intellectual property management plans, data use agreements, teaming agreements, confidential/non-disclosure agreements, amendments and/or other agreements pertaining to request for research or scientific/technical services.

Required Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years with a combination of research administration, contracting or related experience. The CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) exists to provide exceptional veterinary care and service to the community while educating the next generation of veterinarians at a tertiary level teaching hospital. The Small Animal Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) is an integral part of the VTH providing 24-hour, exceptional medical care to patients needing hospitalization for specialized care and outpatient recovery services for same-day procedures. This is a growing service that provides hospital care to all small animal areas of the hospital, supports teaching/guidance for veterinary students, is a medical facility for veterinary research, and is a public animal health care center for exotic, large and small animals.

Position Summary

This position will include operational involvement and accountability in all aspects of IMCU functions. Includes special projects such as scheduling, technician program proctorship, SOP development/review, etc.

Background Check Policy Statement

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a collegiate athletic equipment room; comparable experience in a professional sports league will be taken into consideration.
• Current Certification by the Athletic Equipment Manager’s Association (AEMA) required, including good standing within the AEMA, or must have the ability to become certified within 18 months of employment.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required, preferably NCAA Division I.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively across a broad spectrum of constituents.
• Ability to effectively convey ideas and information in a variety of written, electronic and verbal forms.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills including the use of key tools such as critical thinking, deductive reasoning, logic and creativity including the ability to apply this knowledge to real world applications.
• Strong computer skills including a complete working understanding of the most commonly used Microsoft Office Suite applications and programs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date.
