The Position
The faculty of the University Library at California State
University Dominguez Hills invites applications for full-time
temporary librarian positions in the University Library's
Reference, Instruction, and Outreach Services (RIOS) department.
The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions are
filled as needed, based on funding. Candidates may need to be
available to begin in a position on short notice.
Responsibilities
Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, technologically savvy,
user-centered, and collaborative and collegial professionals with
experience providing research assistance, teaching information
literacy, and willingness to engage in outreach initiatives in
academic libraries.
Full-time librarians in the Reference, Instruction, and Outreach
Services department provide online and face-to-face research
assistance; teach course-integrated information literacy
instruction sessions; and participate in the development of online
guides, FAQs, videos, tutorials, and other outreach and
instructional materials.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an
ALA-accredited institution or international equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively contribute to the library's

Department of Marital & Family Therapy
The Department of Marital & Family Therapy at CSU Dominguez
Hills is a department within the College of Health, Human Services
and Nursing (CHHSN). The Master of Science Degree in Marital &
Family Therapy is the result of a 64-unit program that is both
academic and clinical in its emphasis. It is also approved by the
California Board of Behavioral Sciences and attracts both full-time
and part-time students. It is intended for students who wish to
prepare for MFT internships and licensure after graduation.

The Position
The successful candidates will be expected to teach core and
specialization courses in the Marital and Family Therapy Program,
as well as supervise students through the practicum courses.
Faculty members are also expected to demonstrate scholarly
productivity, as reflected in publications and professional
presentations. Program related responsibilities include but are not
limited to student advising/mentoring, admissions, curriculum
assessment and development, participation in program governance as
a core faculty member, and university service. Candidates must
demonstrate a commitment to promoting diversity and social justice
in their role as a faculty member. The anticipated start date in
Fall 2023.
The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing high
quality service to CSUDH. They will exhibit the highest

The responsibilities include teaching core and clinical courses and

participation in the professional guilds - California Association
of Marital & Family Therapy (CAMFT), the American Association

must be available to serve in the departmental, college, or

awareness and experience with COAMFTE accreditation.

• Earned doctorate or doctoral candidate in Marital (Couple) and
Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

academic and clinical in its emphasis. It is also approved by the
California Board of Behavioral Sciences and attracts both full-time
and part-time students. It is intended for students who wish to

The Position
The successful candidates will be expected to teach core and
specialization courses in the Marital and Family Therapy Program,
as well as supervise students through the practicum courses.
Faculty members are also expected to demonstrate scholarly
productivity, as reflected in publications and professional

The Department of Theater & Dance is seeking a Master
Electrician and Production Manager to join their dynamic team!
Under general direction of the Academic Resource Manager and in
collaboration with the Department Chair, the Master Electrician and
Production Manager will provide technical and production direction
for the theatre arts and dance productions. The incumbent will
coordinate technical and production details as required for all
performances and activities in two theatre venues and review space
utilization for the college.
Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform the engineering and design for all special effects for
theater arts and dance productions, including stage lifts, fly
system, smoke and fog effects, etc.
• Collaborate with theater staff regarding the master calendar
for University Theater and the Edison Studio Theater for all
productions.
• Assist guest artists and designers with all technical
matters.
• Design all lighting, sound and projections for Theater Arts and
Dance productions.
• Oversee all set, lighting, sound, video/projection designs
including actual and interpretation of drawing for Theater Arts and
Dance productions.
• Ensure safety of all personnel in all productions and events,
including the audience, performers, as well as safety of
construction and materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Equivalent to 36 semester units or related college
coursework.
• Experience: Three years of experience working for a theater,
repertory or stock company engaged in the applicable production
specialty such as costume construction, stage and set construction,
lighting production, and/or sound/audio production.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of event and production,
including, but not limited to methods and problems in multiple
production.
• Knowledge of production goals, themes, operations, and
procedures necessary in order to translate design specifications,
blueprints or drawings into costume, scene, lighting or sound
production and effects.
• Thorough knowledge, including the principles, practices and
techniques of lighting, sound, counterweight, and other stage
systems and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work
effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside the
university.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree (i.e. MFA) in Theatre Arts or related
field.
• Five years as theatre manager.
• Experience in computer graphics and projections.

The Position
The temporary nurse faculty pool is continuously open, and
positions are filled as needed, based on student enrollment and
funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on
short notice. The Fall term begins in late August and ends in

This position supports students directly, teaching CalTPA courses
and remediating students who do not pass on the first attempt, and
will also be the lead on training faculty to support students,
which entails attending quarterly statewide meetings, training
faculty on annual changes each fall, and presenting data to inform
curriculum and advising changes. In addition to the CalTPA, we have
just begun the Education Specialist Education TPA, the EdSp CalTPA;
both performance assessments will be under this position's
supervision. This is a full time, year-round position requiring
someone who can take the lead on complex student support and

Responsibilities
Lead for Campus (30%)
• Attend quarterly CalTPA Coordinator meetings to stay current on
the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing and Pearson testing
standards and submission requirements, etc. and communicate this
information with multiple stakeholders
• Communicate with department chairs, associate dean, credential
analysts, and Accreditation & Program Improvement Office
regarding student progress and challenges;
• Serve as the key contact with CCTC and Pearson for all

• Interface with COE credential analysts about CalTPA scores and

Under the general supervision of the Student Success Director, the

Minimum Qualifications:
• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in

About the Department/Position:
Under the general supervision of the Student Success Director, the
Academic Advisor provides academic advising services to current

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Advise a caseload of students to provide significant and

Minimum Qualifications:

• Equivalent of two years of professional experience in one of the
student services program areas or in a related field. A master's

The Position
The Student Psychological Services Department is seeking a highly
qualified, motivated, and well-organized counselor to serve as
Staff Counselor/Psychologist in the Student Services Professional,
Academic-Related 2 classification. The time base of the positions
(12 month appointment or academic year appointment) will be at the
discretion of the department and its needs. Each appointment will
have the possibility of yearly renewal.
The successful candidate will provide individual and group
psychological counseling/therapy, clinical assessment, case
management, and crisis intervention services to a diverse
university student population. Designs and implements
psychoeducational programs and outreach activities for the campus
community, including students, faculty and staff, campus
organizations, related academic departments, and student services
units. Provides consultation services for faculty and staff.
Provides supervision for psychology trainees and assists in
facilitating training activities. Participates in case consultation
and in-service training programs with all counseling staff. Works
with medical staff in student health services in a collaborative
approach to mental health care delivery. Initiates and maintains
relationships with other campus departments and off-campus agencies
to affect cooperative working relationships. May perform some
counseling-related administrative duties. Engages in university

Responsibilities

positions are filled as needed, based on student enrollment and
funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin providing
psychological services on short notice.
