Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Director of Design and
Construction, the Manager of Design Services provides general
oversight of all aspects of design phase management, as well as the
administrative design processes for all campus capital projects
(new and renovations). The incumbent collaborates with faculty and
staff of the academic colleges, Academic Affairs, CSUN auxiliaries,
Physical Plant Management, campus community, and the CSU
Chancellor's Office, to plan various campus projects.
• Works with the FPDC Capital Program Manager for project
planning, administrative processes for project approvals, building
codes consultation and questions, and managing feasibility studies
and the design phase of campus projects.
• Participates in the selection of outside design professionals,
negotiates design contracts, and oversees their work.
• Provides general coordination of document phases, required
submittals to the Chancellor's Office, code analysis/compliance
reviews, and plan-checking of projects.
• As a leader, demonstrates a commitment to student success that
is mission aligned with the university's vision, values and
priorities. Establishes an ethical and collegial work environment,
promoting a collaborative, accountable and inclusive team.

Qualifications
• Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college
or university with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or
job-related field. Masters in Architecture preferred.
• Equivalent to five (5) years of progressively responsible
professional/administrative experience. Experience in architecture
firms and/or large institutional owners in project planning,
design, drafting, bidding and construction administration, and code
compliance required. Two of the five years in a managerial role
preferred.
• Direct experience with college or university project planning
and execution of projects, either as an outside consultant or
project manager, at a large institution is highly desired.
• Possession of a current California State Architectural
license.
• Possession of a California Certified Access Specialist (CASp)
certification, or the ability to achieve certification within three
(3) years.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities &
Leadership
• Working knowledge of CAD applications and their use in a design
and construction environment; the Americans with Disabilities Act
and the 2010 ADA Standards, the California Building Code, and other
pertinent federal, state and local regulatory requirements is
required.
• Must possess: familiarity with the California Environmental
Quality Act and the National Environmental Quality Act; excellent
English language skills including comprehension and oral and
written communications; clarity, correctness, and professionalism
in all types of communication.
• Lead diverse teams to support the operational mission and

About the Department:

The Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) Department is
devoted to understanding the relationship between human health and
the environment. With over 200 majors, we are the largest
accredited EOH program in the nation. These numbers are essential
for addressing the unfolding workforce crisis in environmental and
occupational health. In terms of total numbers, we are also the
most diverse accredited EOH program in the nation. In a profession

and biological factors that affect human health and environmental

Position:

The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at
California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a
tenure-track faculty member in Environmental and Occupational
Health at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful
candidate, depending on individual expertise, can be asked to teach
topics in environmental and occupational health, including EOH
administration, air quality, food safety, industrial hygiene,
environmental microbiology, hazardous waste and materials
management, EOH program management, environmental sustainability,
research methods and design, risk analysis, toxicology, vector
control, housing, and water quality, and have research interests in
an area related to EOH. In addition to teaching, the position
requires weekly office hours, attending faculty meetings, and
service to the department, college, and university. The successful
candidate will be held to the standards and requirements of the
college and department in which he/she/they is/are housed for
recommending tenure and promotion.

Required Qualifications:

As a Hispanic-serving Institution (HSI), inclusiveness and

certification or ability (by education and work experience) and

pedagogy that leads to equitable outcomes for all students
• Experience in OR understanding of creating a student-centered

to mentoring
• Evidence of an on-going research program

Major Duties

Under general supervision of the University Cash Services Assistant
Director, the Cash Operations Lead supervises and coordinates the
day-to-day activities in the Cashiering Office. The incumbent
oversees operations utilizing CASHNet/TRANSACT, safeguards assets,

Qualifications
