Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Director of Design and
Construction, the Manager of Design Services provides general
oversight of all aspects of design phase management, as well as the
administrative design processes for all campus capital projects
(new and renovations). The incumbent collaborates with faculty and
staff of the academic colleges, Academic Affairs, CSUN auxiliaries,
Physical Plant Management, campus community, and the CSU
Chancellor's Office, to plan various campus projects.
• Works with the FPDC Capital Program Manager for project
planning, administrative processes for project approvals, building
codes consultation and questions, and managing feasibility studies
and the design phase of campus projects.
• Participates in the selection of outside design professionals,
negotiates design contracts, and oversees their work.
• Provides general coordination of document phases, required
submittals to the Chancellor's Office, code analysis/compliance
reviews, and plan-checking of projects.
• As a leader, demonstrates a commitment to student success that

Qualifications
• Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college
or university with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or
job-related field. Masters in Architecture preferred.
• Equivalent to five (5) years of progressively responsible
professional/administrative experience. Experience in architecture
firms and/or large institutional owners in project planning,
design, drafting, bidding and construction administration, and code
compliance required. Two of the five years in a managerial role
preferred.
• Direct experience with college or university project planning
and execution of projects, either as an outside consultant or
project manager, at a large institution is highly desired.
• Possession of a current California State Architectural
license.
• Possession of a California Certified Access Specialist (CASp)
certification, or the ability to achieve certification within three
(3) years.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities &
Leadership
• Working knowledge of CAD applications and their use in a design
and construction environment; the Americans with Disabilities Act
and the 2010 ADA Standards, the California Building Code, and other
pertinent federal, state and local regulatory requirements is
required.

Quality Act and the National Environmental Quality Act; excellent
English language skills including comprehension and oral and

The Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) Department is
devoted to understanding the relationship between human health and
the environment. With over 200 majors, we are the largest

Position:

The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at
California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a
tenure-track faculty member in Environmental and Occupational
Health at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful
candidate, depending on individual expertise, can be asked to teach
topics in environmental and occupational health, including EOH
administration, air quality, food safety, industrial hygiene,
environmental microbiology, hazardous waste and materials
management, EOH program management, environmental sustainability,
research methods and design, risk analysis, toxicology, vector
control, housing, and water quality, and have research interests in
an area related to EOH. In addition to teaching, the position

Major Duties

Under general supervision of the University Cash Services Assistant

The Department of English at California State University,
Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in
Creative Writing, with a specialization in narrative, at the rank
of Assistant Professor.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the
ongoing development of a thriving Creative Writing Option at both
undergraduate and graduate levels; teach upper division and
graduate courses in fiction, creative nonfiction, and other
emerging prose forms with a focus toward issues of race, class,
gender, sexuality, ability, and other forms of diversity; regularly
teach a multi-genre GE introduction to creative writing that covers
poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and drama; and continue to
develop as an active artist and scholar. Desirable secondary
interests include: poetry/poetic forms, experience or interest in
managing an undergraduate literary magazine, critical theory and/or
cultural studies especially as they relate to creative writing, new
media and digital writing, video gaming narrative, graphic
narrative/comics, mixed/multiple writing genres, popular
literatures, and/or genre-based writing.

In addition to teaching, the position requires weekly office hours,
attending faculty meetings, and service to the department, college,
and university. The successful candidate will be held to the
standards and requirements of the college and department in which
the faculty member is housed for recommending tenure and
promotion.

The standard teaching load at Northridge is 12 units (4/4; 3/3 for
the first two years), although competitive reassigned time is

Position:

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures at
California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a
tenure-track faculty member in Hispanic Linguistics with emphasis
on heritage learners at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The successful candidate will teach 4/4 course load (3/3 for the
first two years) at the graduate and undergraduate levels in the
areas of heritage learning pedagogy and Hispanic linguistics with
the possibility of teaching courses in other areas of the
candidate's expertise and will have research interests in these
fields.

In addition to teaching, the position requires curriculum

The department of History at California State University,
Northridge (CSUN) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track
assistant professor in U.S. History of the Civil War era,
Reconstruction, or the Gilded Age with a preferred teaching and
research emphasis on issues of race or gender. The successful
candidate will be expected to teach either half of the U.S. History
survey course, to contribute to the department's public history
program, and to develop undergraduate and graduate courses in their
areas of specialization. Applicants must have a demonstrated

Normal teaching load is 12 units per semester. In addition to
