Job Summary:
The position involves conducting animal models of kidney diseases, such as the adriamycin (mouse) and aminonucleoside (rate) models as well as the endotoxin-induced proteinuria (both the intraperiotoneal and intranasal models), and translational studies with a focus on biomarkers in human samples as well as cell culture studies. Therefore, a solid of understanding of molecular biological methods, PCR, Western blot, and immunofluorescence etc. is required.
Our lab is focused on the identification of prognostic and therapeutic targets for children with nephrotic syndrome, and our research approach includes working with human samples, cell cultures, and animal models of kidney disease.
This individual will be under the supervision of Gabriel Cara Fuentes, MD, PhD.

Intermediate Level:

Dr. Schacht will provide mentorship in the areas of clinical research, neuroimaging, genetics, and AUD medications development. The Grants and Contracts Professional (open rank) supports ACCORDS research functions which include research grants, investigator-initiated studies and program grants. This individual will act as a resource for the Center and will be expected to work independently, as well as collaboratively with ACCORDS Principal Investigators in the grant/contract process and with the overall ACCORDS Grants Team including: development, submission, receipt, post-award administration, and reporting. This position is responsible for the application of and compliance with Federal, State, Private Foundation, and University policies and procedures as they relate to grant and contracts life-cycle administration. This position will perform life-cycle grants administration (both pre and post award duties), and manage a portfolio of active grants in addition to regular proposal submissions. The grants and contracts professional will be part of a team of five grant and contracts administrators and report to the ACCORDS Grants Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Works in conjunction with the senior pre-award manager to coordinate all pre-award grants and contracts activity.
• Prepare complex, multiple year budgets and review prior to submission for federal, state, university and private sponsors for grants, fellowships, contracts, and industry contracts.
• Prepare salary budgets utilizing employee compensation rates, appropriate fringe benefit rates, and approved escalation rates.
• Work with the Grants and Contracts Manager, PIs and the OGC to coordinate the receipt of funded proposals
• Work with Grants and Contracts Manager and OGC to identify cost-sharing in proposals and assure accurate accounting

The Grants and Contracts Professional (open rank) supports ACCORDS research functions which include research grants, investigator-initiated studies and program grants. This individual will act as a resource for the Center and will be expected to work independently, as well as collaboratively with ACCORDS Principal Investigators in the grant/contract process and with the overall ACCORDS Grants Team including: development, submission, receipt, post-award administration, and reporting. This position will perform life-cycle grants administration (both pre and post award duties), and manage a portfolio of active grants in addition to regular proposal submissions. • Works in conjunction with the senior pre-award manager to coordinate all pre-award grants and contracts activity.
• Prepare complex, multiple year budgets and review prior to submission for federal, state, university and private sponsors for grants, fellowships, contracts, and industry contracts.

Each Individualized Curriculum - Medical Education - Co-Director will be responsible for a cohort of MS3s and MS4s in their curriculum. Each individualized curriculum will capture at least 10% of the student body within their cohort. This is an at-will, paid position at a 0.2 FTE equivalent of salary support, with a salary capped at the Education Salary Cap of $200,000.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise SOM faculty who teach within the individualized curriculums. Responsibilities include assigning work, faculty development, evaluation, and feedback, as well as addressing issues and improving faculty performance.
• Collaborate with SOM support staff for effective communication and delivery of curricular and assessment materials in a timely manner.
• Provide leadership and oversight of the Trail with a focus on the development, implementation, and assessment of Trail goals and session-specific objectives.

The academic services professional communicates extensively with prospective students, academic advisors, and the CU PT Program and maintains data with accuracy and confidentiality. The position serves to develop and maintain relationships from the initial point of contact through the matriculation process. Most systems used by this position include Excel, Qualtrics, PTCAS, WebAdMIT, CU-SIS and Formstack. The CU PT Program has two pathways: the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) hybrid pathway and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC) pathway. This position will be responsible to assist with the UCCS and AMC recruitment and admissions processes. Guidance will be provided by faculty and other program professionals. The position will be located at the AMC campus in Aurora, Colorado, with some remote work, and occasional travel to Colorado Springs for hybrid coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Admissions
Communicate with prospective students and academic advisors in the areas of recruitment and admissions to matriculation. Coordinate and participate in recruitment events locally and nationally. Process student applications through holistic reviews and interviews, including communications with students and faculty for completion of applications, scheduling, ranking, and integration of data between systems. Transition incoming cohort from admissions to matriculation status, ensuring data integrity. Collaborate closely with teams, including recruitment and admissions committee, faculty, and personnel to ensure timelines are communicated and that deadlines are achieved. Provide administrative support for outreach initiatives. Prepare monthly newsletters, badge requests, and student partner groups for accepted cohorts. Liaise between residential and hybrid pathways at University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) and Anschutz Medical Campus. Assist in coordinating early admission programs across the CU system and with external institutions. Assist with managing Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) for the program, an emerging campuswide initiative. Participate in admissions campuswide working groups. Provide program support with data entry and processing for the program website and various reports, including but not limited to Qualtrics, WebAdMIT, PTCAS, and CU-SIS. Job Summary:
The academic services professional communicates extensively with prospective students, academic advisors, and the CU PT Program and maintains data with accuracy and confidentiality. The position serves to develop and maintain relationships from the initial point of contact through the matriculation process. Most systems used by this position include Excel, Qualtrics, PTCAS, WebAdMIT, CU-SIS and Formstack. The CU PT Program has two pathways: the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) hybrid pathway and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC) pathway. This position will be responsible to assist with the UCCS and AMC recruitment and admissions processes. Guidance will be provided by faculty and other program professionals. The position will be located at the AMC campus in Aurora, Colorado, with some remote work, and occasional travel to Colorado Springs for hybrid coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Admissions
Communicate with prospective students and academic advisors in the areas of recruitment and admissions to matriculation. Coordinate and participate in recruitment events locally and nationally. Process student applications through holistic reviews and interviews, including communications with students and faculty for completion of applications, scheduling, ranking, and integration of data between systems. Transition incoming cohort from admissions to matriculation status, ensuring data integrity. Collaborate closely with teams, including recruitment and admissions committee, faculty, and personnel to ensure timelines are communicated and that deadlines are achieved. Provide administrative support for outreach initiatives. Prepare monthly newsletters, badge requests, and student partner groups for accepted cohorts. Liaise between residential and hybrid pathways at University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) and Anschutz Medical Campus. Assist in coordinating early admission programs across the CU system and with external institutions. Assist with managing Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) for the program, an emerging campuswide initiative. Participate in admissions campuswide working groups. Provide program support with data entry and processing for the program website and various reports, including but not limited to Qualtrics, WebAdMIT, PTCAS, and CU-SIS. Cross-cover for other administrative staff and provide other duties as needed.
