Job Description: To assist in the administration of all related duties and activities in full compliance with NFHS, WIAA, Greater Metro Conference, and School District of Elmbrook policies.

A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate and will possess:

Previous coaching experience/background preferred.

A coaching and learning philosophy that includes thoughts on the role of athletics in an educational setting, winning and losing, character education, and leadership development.

Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

The desire to work cooperatively with the entire coaching staff in building a high-achieving athletic program for Brookfield Central.

A willingness to seek opportunities to lend assistance to "feeder" programs.

Must meet WIAA and district certification requirements.

The ability to work diligently with the coaching staff to assist all student-athletes within the volleyball program to maximize their academic as well as athletic potential.

Demonstrate a strong interest and commitment to the development of the student-athlete physically, mentally, and as a leader.

The ability to support the Brookfield Central Lancer Athletic Booster Club efforts with regard to membership and fundraising.

A positive mental attitude.

The afterschool Debate & Forensics League is an affiliated organization of the Vermont Principals' Association and the Vermont Debate and Forensics League (VDFL). The purpose of the League is to stimulate an interest in and expand knowledge of the opportunities available to high school students in public speaking; to encourage interscholastic debate and individual speaking contests; and to promote the civic virtues of public discourse. The VDFL holds workshops, school sponsored competitions, and a state tournament for both public forum debates as well as eight individual public speaking events. The advisor/coach will be responsible to recruit and prepare students for the various competitions and the state tournament and to attend these events with the students. Interested candidates should complete the school spring application.
