specifically seeks candidates to teach introductory courses in
mathematics and other core courses in the major as required.
Teaching assignment is three courses in Fall and three in Spring.
Funding is also available for professional development and research
with undergraduate students.

Description
The Department of Art and Art History at DePauw University invites applications for the Hampton and Esther Boswell Distinguished University Professor in Design Studies for a one-year appointment beginning in August of 2023 at a rank commensurate with current position. An additional one or two years are possible upon mutual agreement of the successful candidate and the University.
A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts setting and evidence of effective and inclusive teaching are essential. We are especially seeking applications from those whose practice and approach will support and enrich our studio art and art history programs, including the participation in department-wide critiques of senior capstone research and artwork. Candidates must have significant experience with emerging technologies and how these technologies impact creative practice.
DePauw's Gold and Bold 2027 Strategic Plan includes launching a new school that focuses on Creative practice and a School of Business and Leadership. To help us launch these schools, we seek a cohort of faculty with experience at a range of institutions, including international institutions, HBCUs and HSIs. We further seek candidates who bring diverse perspectives and who can integrate traditional liberal arts approaches (e.g., critical thinking; ethical reasoning; connecting disciplines to domestic issues of diversity, equity and inclusion as well as to global perspectives; interdisciplinarity; written and oral communication) into their courses. Contributions may be made through inclusive pedagogies, inclusive syllabi, and/or through contributions to interdisciplinary programs that diversify DePauw's curriculum (e.g., Africana Studies, Asian Studies, Hispanic Studies, Global Health, Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies). The Design Studies major will be launched in fall of 2023 as the first new area of study associated with The Creative School, which launches in the summer of 2024.
The Hampton and Esther Boswell Distinguished University Professorship was established with a gift from Thomas W. Boswell '66 and Cheryl K. Boswell, in memory of Mr. Boswell's parents.

The Department of Art and Art History at DePauw University invites applications for the Hampton and Esther Boswell Distinguished University Professor in Design Studies for a one-year appointment beginning in August of 2023 at a rank commensurate with current position. An additional one or two years are possible upon mutual agreement of the successful candidate and the University.
A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts setting and evidence of effective and inclusive teaching are essential. We are especially seeking applications from those whose practice and approach will support and enrich our studio art and art history programs, including the participation in department-wide critiques of senior capstone research and artwork. Candidates must have significant experience with emerging technologies and how these technologies impact creative practice.
DePauw's Gold and Bold 2027 Strategic Plan includes launching a new school that focuses on Creative practice and a School of Business and Leadership. To help us launch these schools, we seek a cohort of faculty with experience at a range of institutions, including international institutions, HBCUs and HSIs. We further seek candidates who bring diverse perspectives and who can integrate traditional liberal arts approaches (e.g., critical thinking; ethical reasoning; connecting disciplines to domestic issues of diversity, equity and inclusion as well as to global perspectives; interdisciplinarity; written and oral communication) into their courses. POSITION SUMMARY
The Data Analyst supports the University's administrative data systems and related software systems. In addition to developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting reports and performing broad data analysis, the person in this position provides cross-functional user support and training, as well as code development in support of analytics efforts. The Data Analyst has the opportunity to work with a wide array of technologies and will develop a deep domain expertise in administrative functions within a higher education setting.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Create and conduct queries and compile datasets in the context of report generation, data analysis, and software development.
• Engage in close interaction with University staff to determine project and software requirements.
• Identify data issues and work with others in I.S. and other offices to triage, track, communicate, mitigate, and remediate the issues to closure
• Assist in developing processes and procedures to support data standards and frameworks around data classification, security, handling, analysis, and reporting.
• Assist with evaluation, analysis, and maintenance of data tools and administrative software systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting and resolution of data and software problems.
• Provide user and technical support for administrative applications, including training in the use of related information systems, reports, and data tools.
• Work with University offices to analyze and improve departmental system practices and procedures.
• Engage in active participation with the Information Services team, including staff meetings, development activities, and project work.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Education: Associate's degree in computer science or related field required; substantial career experience can be substituted for a degree.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' current, related experience required.
Computer Skills
• Ability to define and analyze business requirements and functional systems design.
• Experience working relational databases, working knowledge of SQL, as well as the ability to modify and troubleshoot SQL statements.
• Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office product suite.
• Ability to develop specialized reports and perform detailed data analysis in a timely and accurate manner.
• Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or other data analysis and visualization packages preferred.
• Experience in or the ability to learn server-side scripting (Windows and Linux).
