What will you be doing?

The Product Manager will be responsible for development, maintenance and growth of assigned product lines, leading organizational initiatives of these products.

The candidate will work very closely with Studio TK product development, marketing, and sales organizations to develop, grow and support these functional areas for Studio TK in all markets as appropriate.

This person will be accountable to ensure the effective management and support of their assigned product lines, and ensure that product is brought to market in an effective and timely manner in line with the processes employed for Studio TK products.

1. Develop and recommend business development and product marketing strategies and plans.
• Working with VP of Marketing to identify potential business, product opportunities and alliances that fit with category goals and supplier capabilities.
• Validate and learn from broad inputs (customers, analysts, competition, partners, suppliers, employees, sales channels, etc.)
• Identify product evolution discontinuities & new opportunities (driven by competitive, technical trends and/or market) and recommend optimized solutions for enhanced customer value and profitability.
• Maintain a leading-edge understanding of custom, technical and competitive trends related to Studio TK in the various markets (recognizing consistencies and inconsistencies in these trends across market regions).
• Define and recommend the key success factors for the development and maintenance of a leadership position in the respective categories.

2. Implement and monitor business development and product marketing strategies and plans.
• Working closely with the markets to secure input as appropriate for the development of Marketing Communication Briefs to recommend fully integrated marketing plans to support new product launches
• Identify product support requirements for all products and/or services to support respective product lines
• Recommend / Develop specific marketing programs to drive sales in all geographic markets.
• Work with Studio TK’s Marketing, Design, Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales departments to define, develop and support new and existing product development initiatives, synergies and implementation priorities.
• Ensure that the needs and recommendations of geographic Marketing groups are considered and met relative to marketing objectives and strategies, including sales volume and profit forecasts for assigned product categories.
• Be responsible for the accuracy of all product information for new products and/or services towards the preparation of appropriate software, price and product guides, product application guides, installation guides, marketing & sales support materials and awards submissions
• Continually interface with the Manufacturing Department in an effort to reduce product costs and improve quality and delivery lead times.

3. Act as the champion of the product vision and its implementation plan with employees, customers, distributors, partners and suppliers.
• Participate in, and in specific cases, lead, market-related activities such as sales team training and customer presentations, as appropriate to nurture and strengthen relationships.
• Work with other departments as required to ensure that the development, implementation and launch initiatives are executed as per established schedules and in line with processes employed for Studio TK product lines.
• Work directly with sales in support of key business opportunities
• Provide the corporation with key technical knowledge and experience related to product usage and application

4. Manage Data and prepare reports for product lifecycle management
• Organize and sort data to provide reports which will lead to recommendations for deletions and/or modifications.
• Ensure that Product Line reports are created on a QTR basis highlighting categories' growth, profitability, sales mix, competitors' activities and industries trends
• Work with finance to evaluate the profitability of current products and make recommendations for price modifications where necessary.
• Prepare new pricing and update internal systems with new pricing where appropriate. • Review and audit pricing within internal and external marketing deliverables including specification software, printed price guides and applications comparisons.

What skills, experience and education are we looking for?

Education
• University degree in a relevant field
• Postgraduate degree (MBA) is preferred but not required

Work Experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of increasingly more senior experience in a Product Marketing/Business Development role in an industrial, business-to-business environment.
• Experience in an international organization, specifically interfacing with a US or international division.
• Experience in organizations with design-driven products, and a technology/engineering orientation.
• Experience in the Contract Furniture Systems business is preferred.
• Business Development – identifying, validating and developing new business and product opportunities. • Product Management – developing, implementing, and monitoring product marketing plans and strategies.
