Job Summary
Inspects and advises on new, altered or relocated service entrance equipment. Reads, installs, removes, seals, energizes, and de-energizes meters. Promotes electric living. Makes contacts on customers' premises in the performance of the above duties. Inspects installations, investigates accounts, observes and reports irregularities and unusual conditions to proper organizational unit. Bills for service interruption call charges upon completion of such calls per Company policy. As required, disconnects water heater accounts and customers service for non-payment. Will also be required to do scheduled primary meter reading routes, when necessary. Input information into the Mobil Data Terminal (MDT).
Key Accountabilities
- Perform MPSC sample testing in the field to test meters for accuracy.
- Install, remove, turn-on and disconnect meter and service equipment to service customer's loads in accordance with established rules. Also, may be required to read residential, commercial and industrial accounts. Maintenance, install and removal of control unit and probing of meter. Investigate and secure pole to pole wire downs and other hazards to protect the public.
Qualifications
- Must have High School Diploma or GED and at least 12 months of demonstrated field experience as an Field Service Representative, Meter Tester, or electrical work either as a contractor, for a contractor, or for a major utility
-OR-
a High School Diploma or GED and at least three (3) summers working for Field Operations performing Electric turn ons and disconnects.
-OR –
High School Diploma or GED and completion of a related pre-apprenticeship training; or passing the Readiness Workshop and basic electricity
Preferred: Have satisfactorily completed a class in Basic Electricity, and be able to identify appropriate tools.
Other Requirements:
- Must have customer contact experience.
- Must receive “Recommended” on the Construction and Skills Trade (CAST) test.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Must have a basic knowledge of Personal Computer applications.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, day and evening shifts, extended periods of overtime, any hour of the day or night, any day of the year.
- Must be able to work alone and work off a ladder and work in confined areas.
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet Company driving standards and provide a suitable automobile for use on Company business and show proof of car insurance.
- Must be willing to work on energized equipment up to 480 volts.
- Must be willing to work anywhere in Company Service Territory.
- Must be able to lift and handle 50 pounds.
- Must be willing to work in all weather conditions

Job Summary
Responsible for the planning, management, and execution of multiple large-scale capital (construction support or construction related) projects throughout the Corporation. Decisions are based on optimizing these projects' value, and providing a safe, productive and cost effective physical environment. Considers relevant external trends and conditions in achieving competitive advantages whenever possible. Negotiates complex vendor contracts, and ensures compliance with their specifications. Span of control: typically, = 10 Jobs and FTEs (direct and 2nd level).
Key Accountabilities
• Leads a team(s) of project managers, supervisors, contractors, and administrative and engineering support personnel in construction activities for multiple intermediate to large-sized capital projects. Accountable for construction projects’ safety, quality, schedule and financial results.
• Manages a portfolio team consisting of project managers, project engineers, construction managers, schedulers, estimators, planners, first-line supervisors, general foremen, superintendents, and technical and administrative support personnel as necessary; secures labor to implement project; ensures portfolio team is trained to execute the capital projects effectively and productively.
• Negotiates complex construction and physical plant-related contracts with large vendors; oversees the execution of contracts, ensuring the contractors’ performance consistent with contractual terms and specifications.
• Provides support to senior management in the formulation of strategic planning, staffing, budgeting, continuous improvement and achieving company goals; ensures that the strategic plan and actions are completed as planned.
• Responsible for delivering major capital construction projects, without interruption to the Company’s operations; key liaison with stakeholders in coordinating construction necessitated contingencies.
• Provides regular progress reports for all construction projects, highlighting key performance indicators, risk management, delays and claims, disputes, work-arounds, and accurate cost and schedule forecasts.
• Analyzes organizational capability in relation to Company-determined project management standards (through the Project Management Maturity Assessment Model and the Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge); maintains professional affiliations with industry groups, professional agencies and societies, and stays abreast of industry best practices. Implements continuous improvement countermeasures to address any gaps.
• Performs or ensures the accomplishment of the following core supervisory/management functions for a given group(s) within a business unit: planning, organizing, directing the performance of on-going activities and/or special or ad hoc assignments, staffing (employee selection, training, coaching and performance management, time entry), coordinating, reporting and budgeting.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience managing projects using formal project management tools such as Schedule Management, Cost Management, Risk Management etc. and demonstrated experience providing direction to project team(s). PMP Required

Job Summary
Responsible for the planning, management, and execution of multiple large-scale capital (construction support or construction related) projects throughout the Corporation. Decisions are based on optimizing these projects' value, and providing a safe, productive and cost effective physical environment. Considers relevant external trends and conditions in achieving competitive advantages whenever possible. Negotiates complex vendor contracts, and ensures compliance with their specifications. Span of control: typically, = 10 Jobs and FTEs (direct and 2nd level).
Key Accountabilities
• Leads a team(s) of project managers, supervisors, contractors, and administrative and engineering support personnel in construction activities for multiple intermediate to large-sized capital projects. Accountable for construction projects’ safety, quality, schedule and financial results.
• Manages a portfolio team consisting of project managers, project engineers, construction managers, schedulers, estimators, planners, first-line supervisors, general foremen, superintendents, and technical and administrative support personnel as necessary; secures labor to implement project; ensures portfolio team is trained to execute the capital projects effectively and productively.
• Negotiates complex construction and physical plant-related contracts with large vendors; oversees the execution of contracts, ensuring the contractors’ performance consistent with contractual terms and specifications.
• Provides support to senior management in the formulation of strategic planning, staffing, budgeting, continuous improvement and achieving company goals; ensures that the strategic plan and actions are completed as planned.
• Responsible for delivering major capital construction projects, without interruption to the Company’s operations; key liaison with stakeholders in coordinating construction necessitated contingencies.
• Provides regular progress reports for all construction projects, highlighting key performance indicators, risk management, delays and claims, disputes, work-arounds, and accurate cost and schedule forecasts.
• Analyzes organizational capability in relation to Company-determined project management standards (through the Project Management Maturity Assessment Model and the Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge); maintains professional affiliations with industry groups, professional agencies and societies, and stays abreast of industry best practices. Implements continuous improvement countermeasures to address any gaps.
• Performs or ensures the accomplishment of the following core supervisory/management functions for a given group(s) within a business unit: planning, organizing, directing the performance of on-going activities and/or special or ad hoc assignments, staffing (employee selection, training, coaching and performance management, time entry), coordinating, reporting and budgeting.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience managing projects using formal project management tools such as Schedule Management, Cost Management, Risk Management etc. and demonstrated experience providing direction to project team(s). PMP Required

Job Summary
LOCATION: LANSING, MI
This position is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of a mid-sized plant facility. Includes overall personnel responsibility with the authority to hire and terminate, managing training programs and overall facility operation and maintenance. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements. Manages plant business and budget issues with General Manager interface and plant performance with Director of Operations interface. Reports to a General Manager or Regional Operations Manager.
Key Accountabilities
• Directs day-to-day operation and maintenance activities.
• Primary liaison with the customer on matters pertaining to daily operations including the scheduling of production levels.
• Ensures the facility is operated in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in compliance with the core values of DTE Energy and all local, state and federal regulations.
• Develops the annual O&M budget.
• Controls expenditures to ensure costs remain within budget.
• Schedules and coordinates major maintenance and contractor activity to coincide with the production requirements of the customer.
• Prepares periodic status reports that describe operating performance, issues and forecasts of future performance.
• Implements a planned maintenance program consisting of predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance activities documenting such activities through the use of work orders and similar processes.
• Conducts or arranges for periodic training for all plant personnel covering technical, safety, environmental and supervisory topics as appropriate.
• Ensures that all employees and contractors abide by established policies and procedures pertaining to plant safety and environmental stewardship.
• Works with Director of Operations and operations support personnel to share and implement best practices throughout the organization.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED. A technical school degree is preferred.
• A minimum of eight years of professional work experience relevant to the specific facility.
• At least three years of supervisory experience, in a professional leadership role.
Other Qualifications
• Understanding of the operation and maintenance of plant equipment, including the importance of ensuring high availability, reliability and efficiency.
• Working knowledge of powerhouse equipment and systems, including but not limited to electrical distribution, chilled water, compressed air, heat exchangers, steam distribution, chemical treatment equipment, transformers, motors, pumps, piping/valves, instrumentation, control systems, etc.
• Understanding of energy efficiency practices and energy conservation techniques.

• Ensures the facility is operated in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in compliance with the core values of DTE Energy and all local, state and federal regulations.
• Develops the annual O&M budget.
• Controls expenditures to ensure costs remain within budget.
• Schedules and coordinates major maintenance and contractor activity to coincide with the production requirements of the customer.
• Prepares periodic status reports that describe operating performance, issues and forecasts of future performance.
• Implements a planned maintenance program consisting of predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance activities documenting such activities through the use of work orders and similar processes.
• Conducts or arranges for periodic training for all plant personnel covering technical, safety, environmental and supervisory topics as appropriate.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED. A technical school degree is preferred.
• A minimum of eight years of professional work experience relevant to the specific facility.
• At least three years of supervisory experience, in a professional leadership role.
Other Qualifications
• Understanding of the operation and maintenance of plant equipment, including the importance of ensuring high availability, reliability and efficiency.
• Working knowledge of powerhouse equipment and systems, including but not limited to electrical distribution, chilled water, compressed air, heat exchangers, steam distribution, chemical treatment equipment, transformers, motors, pumps, piping/valves, instrumentation, control systems, etc.
• Understanding of energy efficiency practices and energy conservation techniques.
• Knowledge of the regulatory processes under which the facility operates.

DTE's popular Co-op Program is accepting applications for Finance, Accounting and Business Majors. We have positions that are virtual/hybrid and located in the Southeast Michigan area.
Work Assignments
We have opportunities within our Controllers, Audit and Treasury groups. Typical work in these spaces include:
Audit
• Supporting both Operational Audit and IT Audit
• Performs analytics audits to support the continuous auditing function to meet our project deliverable for the year and to build out the team’s capabilities while also enhancing our overlapping knowledge base across the group
• Assists with the development and maintenance of our workforce/project scheduling tools
• Assists with the administrative functions of our underlying audit project workspace
• Helps with SOX testing this year for the IT Audit team
Controllers
• Support of SEC and regulatory reporting filings
• Critical months end close responsibilities for cash clearing, A/R, A/P, SOX testing and FERC pages
• Budget/Forecasting/Reporting
• Supporting financials for major outages and for multiple business units
• Maintains master database to support quarterly forecasting
