The Mental Health Professional II is responsible for assessment, evaluation, short-term counseling and referral of contract company employees and family members. As needed, the Mental Health Professional II provides leadership in planning and training for company supervisors and programs and education for employees.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assessment, evaluation, short-term counseling and arranging referrals when appropriate.
• Responsible for all case management of assigned client.
• Develop community referral sources.
• Responsible for own filing, mail, reading of pertinent articles.
• Demonstrate professional growth by attending meetings and conferences to stay current.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Able to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing). Positive interpersonal skills required. Sits for extended periods of time. May require some light lifting.

EDUCATION:
• A Master’s degree with major course work in sociology, social work, psychology, counseling or education required. Licensure in Social Work, Psychology or Professional Counseling preferred.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
• Must understand the principles of mental illness, ability to learn and implement them, and crisis management planning.

WORK SCHEDULE/LOCATION:
• Mondays, 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Sellersville office location
• Tuesdays, 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., North Wales office location
