Location/Schedule/Travel:

+ This is a Remote/Onsite Hybrid position where you can work from home and go onsite quarterly, based on business needs.

+ The position will preferably be based out of Radford, VA.

+ The role can be based out of anywhere in the US however, schedule is based on east coast working hours.

+ This role will work a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off, based on business needs.

+ This position will require up to 25% of travel.

Responsibilities:

+ Provides functional management and supervision of the Import Export function supporting a business group within Ordnance Systems (OSI) business unit.

+ Acts as an empowered official and demonstrates a high level of expertise with US export and import laws including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

+ Under direction from leadership, provides strategy, planning, and execution for export/import plans related to market creation, bids, proposals, contracts, operations, procurement, security, communications, and related functions.

+ Reviews, approves, and manages Department of State export agreements including Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements, and Distribution Agreements.

+ Reviews, approves, and manages export and import licenses and permits obtained from the Department of State, Department of Commerce, and ATF, and provides oversight for AES filings with Census Bureau.

+ Reviews, approves, and oversees compliance related to legal reporting and notifications, export classification, and the certification and use of license exemptions and exceptions for a business group.

+ Ensures compliance with record keeping and data management legal requirements.

+ Manages trade compliance practices related to document review, public release processes, review of international purchase orders and hardware shipments, foreign visits, and international travel requests for a business group.

+ Assists with internal investigations under direction of the SED and assists with the preparation of disclosures.

+ Supports implementation of export awareness training and specialized functional training across the BU.

+ Supports creation and management of processes, procedures, and work instructions under the direction of the SED.
• *Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Bachelor s Degree and 8 years of experience or equivalent experience

+ Experience in Import/Export Compliance

+ Knowledge of ITAR/EAR Regulations

+ Ability to interpret regulations and navigate ambiguous environments

+ Ability to make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations

+ Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement in the performance of duties

+ Ability to analyze, evaluate, develop, and implement processes and procedures and adhere to time requirements and schedule
