Social Care Workers within the Home Care and Reablement Service.

Our Home Care and Reablement services provide support to the citizens of Edinburgh in their own homes to enable them to achieve as much independence as they can. We operate seven days a week with a focus on supporting service

users to regain or attain skills and abilities. This brings positive and life changing improvements to those we work with .Do you have experience of working in a care environment?

We are looking for individuals who have experience of working in a care environment. We will provide you with training to enable you to undertake the role and... assist you in developing your skills.

What does the role entail?

As a Social Care Worker within the service, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Community Nurses and Social Care professionals with the aim of supporting, motivating,

and inspiring people to re-learn daily skills and enhance their quality of life. This may be required following a period in hospital or to prevent admission to hospital. You may be required to undertake intimate personal and stoma care. (full training is provided).

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC Registration within 6 months of employment

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

An opportunity has arisen to join a new and exciting care and support service for adults with Learning Disabilities who have complex behavioural support and mental health support needs based in Currie.

The Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership is developing resources to support people discharging from long term hospital inpatient services, into supported and shared community... living. We are seeking experienced care staff to join our team, and develop their skills using Positive Behaviour Support approaches, supporting people with all aspects of daily living to ensure a good quality of life, learn new skills and actively participate within the local and wider community.

The Partnership are invested in supporting employees to enhance their learning further and to gain formal qualifications. Successful candidates will undertake a robust learning and development programme in a variety of general and bespoke topics relating to people with Learning Disabilities and specific to individual needs.
