What does the role entail?

Bun-sgoil Taobh na Pàirce is Edinburgh's Gaelic-medium primary school, offering primary education and nursery provision for children in the City of Edinburgh and the Lothians. Most learners start at Bun-sgoil Taobh na Pàirce with little or no Gaelic and therefore a key task from nursery onwards is to develop Gaelic language competence, using the immersion approach. The postholder will play a key role in the successful delivery of the new Road Safety Action Plan for Edinburgh to 2030, which is currently under development. Public consultation on the new Action Plan will take place in the coming months. The draft Plan contains a series of ambitious targets, including zero fatalities and at least a 50% reduction in people seriously injured on the city’s streets by 2030.
