QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement, Master's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience
• Be able to complete trainings outside the program when required (may need to travel to other locations).
• A successful candidate must possess strong organizational and analytical skills, be able to prioritize tasks and delegate when needed, and effectively communicate with stakeholders. They should also be adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and budget management.
• Have experience working in a multicultural/rural; Navajo or Native American Preferred.

Position Details: The Learning, Design, and Technology (LDT) faculty is excited to add a new member to our community. The position is a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level with an expectation of participation and teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs, both residential and online. We are interested in candidates with expertise in learning technologies and learning sciences that would complement our current strengths, including but not limited to: ● using technologies to support a sense of belonging among learners of color, LGBTQ+ learners, learners with disabilities, migrant learners, or learners from other communities minoritized across economic, cultural, political, and social dimensions; ● designing, adapting, or remixing technologies to disrupt systems of oppression (such as white supremacy or neoliberal capitalism) that intersect with learning settings and institutions; ● learning technologies to support thriving democracies and social transformations; ● developing technology-enhanced learning environments that support and sustain diverse lifeways and ways of knowing; ● justice-focused computer science education or computing and identity; ● emerging research and design methodologies to study learning that challenge received and potentially problematic models of knowledge production; ● educational applications of critical data science or science and technology studies; or ● critical approaches to AI and machine learning for education. The position offers opportunities to contribute to residential undergraduate and graduate programs (e.g., general education courses, M.S., Ph.D.), and online graduate programs (e.g., M.Ed.and the newly established College-wide D.Ed.). The successful candidate will be expected to engage in recruiting and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds who are interested in LDT. The university and surrounding community offer opportunities for developing scholarly collaborations, including with schools, informal learning settings, public media, local makerspaces, affinity groups, and entities within the University including the Consortium for Social Movements and Education Research and Practice, the Rock Ethics Institute, and other research initiatives. • Meets and maintains training and curriculum requirements of Project Lead the Way (PLTW), the district approved curriculum for Explorations in Technology 2 and 3. Initial PLTW training must be successfully completed prior to the start of the 2015-16 school year
• Emphasizes safe shop practices through safety instruction on equipment, safety tests and documentation of those actions
• Ensures that all equipment is in safe operating condition, contacting the Career and Technical Education office for work order repairs as needed
• Participates in pathway advisory committee meetings coordinated by the Career and Technical Education Office
• Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects, and communicates those objectives to students
• Collaborates and communicates with staff to meet the educational needs of students
• Creates, administers, and grades tests to evaluate student progress
• Establishes and enforces rules and procedures which help to maintain order in the classroom
