Title: Strategic Account Executive - Design & Engineering

Job Summary: Endeavor Business Media is looking for a dynamic Strategic Accounts Executive to sell client specific custom solutions that drive advertising revenue for our complex portfolio of marketing solutions, digital, print, research and event platforms.

In this role, you will cultivate deep relationships with our advertisers and their agencies, increasing awareness and perception of our brands and shape sales packages/offerings, market positioning and sales collateral based upon market feedback. You will be expected to build upon existing relationships and most importantly, break new business by strategically prospecting, attending industry events, monitoring movements of key accounts and keeping an ear to the ground on new start-ups/mergers/acquisitions, product line extensions, and related revenue enhancing opportunities.

Responsibilities:
• Understand and promote all products and services offered.
• Know the competitor’s products, and how EBM offerings differ.
• Create integrated marketing proposals for clients.
• Conduct ongoing needs analysis for all current accounts.
• Continually improve and develop your sales skills.
• Visit client/agencies and major prospects regularly
• Continuously prospect- with minimum standards set by your Manager.
• Provide accurate weekly sales forecasts
• Maintain a list of target accounts.
• Keep on top of sales territory market share. Specifically, know why it’s up or down, overall and by account. Share best practices across your Market, Group and parent company.
• Maintain regular contact with clients and prospects via in-person or virtual meetings to present opportunities and make recommendations in a consultative manner.
• Attend and fully participate in industry events.
• Continually seek out new sources of revenue, via Media Radar, competitor websites and pubs, trade shows, etc.
• Maintain accurate records of all sales and sales related activities and contacts in AdOrbit (required)
• Review and present client metrics reports.

Core Competencies:
• Proven track record in closing sales through business development and superior negotiation skills.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills, especially in a multi-platform environment

Required Qualifications:
• Qualified candidates must possess a good understanding of digital media and marketing solutions.
• Ability to cultivate strong relationships with client/agency contact to gain deeper insights into business objectives and recommend solutions to meet their business and advertising needs
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as proficiency in CRM system.
• Excellent organization, forecasting and follow-through techniques required. Self-motivated, able to prioritize and work with a minimal amount of direction. Strong written and oral communication skills a must

Equivalent Education / Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of successful media sales experience, preferably in electronics and/or mechanical engineering space.

Special Job Dimensions:

Build and maintain effective partnerships with other departments including sales support, editorial, production and marketing.

Work Environment:
• Work from home office and on the road.

Job Summary: As the Associate Editor, you will be working with the Digital Infrastructure group and contribute editorial content, oversee multiple tasks to help elevate two brands, BTR and Lightwave. The position requires writing and editorial skills, self-initiative, and the ability to work productively and relatively independently due to the position's remote nature. Knowledge of or an interest in learning about fiber optics, the Broadband Industry and technology—including newsworthy trends, research insights, industry trends, and technology—as is the ability to convert this information into content that drives a high degree of audience engagement and readership. Work with marketing and production to develop promotional materials for events and webinars. Leverage SEO to drive traffic to the brands. In this role you will travel some and cover industry trade shows and events along with video recap coverage and client interviews.

Responsibilities:
• Contribute editorial content and oversee multiple tasks to help elevate both brands
• Research, interview, write, post, and promote print and digital content
• Rewrite press releases
• Write product summaries as needed and create curated news content
• Attend and cover industry trade shows and events

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven command of MS Access/SQL and data visualization tools, deep knowledge of relational databases and MS Excel/PowerPoint. Understanding of SPSS a plus.
