School Responsibilities
• Arrives at school 15 minutes before carpool and is available for assigned duties or set-up (7:15 am).

Duties and Responsibilities
Teaches 12 credit hours per semester ranging from first-year
composition to upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in
area of specialization (potential for 3-credit release per
semester); serves as Composition Coordinator (supervising ENGL 101,
ENGL 102, and Technical Writing courses); develops scaffolded
curriculum suitable for students at all levels of composition –
including those who require remediation; coordinates ENGL 101 and
ENGL 102 mentorship program; expands and extends the reach and
impact of foundational programs;exhibits strong
collaborative skills to interface with the Writing Center, the
department’s Assessment Coordinator, and the Office of Academic
Computing; advises and mentors students; conducts research; serves
on departmental, college, and/or university committees; writes
proposals for public and private grants; performs other related
duties as assigned. This is a full-time tenure track faculty

Knowledge and experience in developing and evaluating undergraduate

excellent oral and written communication skills; digital
information technology skills, including Blackboard, and online
teaching experience; Preferred: Bilingualism in modern languages is
a plus.
