Duties and Responsibilities

Identifies needs and opportunities to support the development, engagement and retention of key talent. Advises and supports business leaders on issues affecting optimization of talent. Provides services, including training, and coaching, to best position leaders for success.

Develops solutions to improve talent capabilities and performance. Conducts industry and organizational research to determine gaps. Keeps current and applies knowledge of organizational improvement and development methods, industry trends and benchmark data. Develops tool kits of best practices for knowledge sharing and development of skills in the organization.

Facilitates job studies and provides assessment feedback to hiring managers/supervisors during the selection process.

Designs, develops and analyzes metrics and measurement methods. Reports on results, and recommends improvements. Determines solutions, tools and techniques that satisfy client requirements.

Provides leaders with assessment feedback on their Employees to assist them with performance coaching and development opportunities.

Leverages and integrates with multiple HR functional areas as necessary.

Completes special projects and serves on task forces or project teams as required.

Mentors less experienced staff.

Areas of specialization:

Career Development: Leads ERIE's career development program in support of the overall business strategy. Oversees the design, implementation and sustainability of the program. Promotes, educates and advises Employees about career opportunities available at ERIE, with close attention to internal movement, Employee development, and succession planning. Administers related assessments. Works with various internal teams on career-pathing.

Leadership Development: Leads the development and administration of the companywide leadership development program for executives, general management and senior-level individual contributors. Drives participation in the leadership development program, including marketing and reporting to key audiences. Aligns priorities and content with talent management, business needs, and cost management objectives. Ensures the leadership development program is proactive, competitive, and evaluated for effectiveness. Coaches and provides feedback to leaders on creating individual and group development and succession plans.

Leadership Onboarding: Leads the development, implementation, and administration of the onboarding program with new internal and external executives, general management, and senior-level individual contributors. Establishes and facilitates ongoing relationships to support new leader acclimation. Provides coaching and feedback. Structures and administers customized assimilation strategies. Coordinates and maintains ERIE's New Employee Orientation program.

Succession Planning: Leads the development, implementation, and administration of the succession planning program, including identification and development of key talent for executive, general management and senior leaders. Evaluates program for effectiveness. Conducts talent reviews that assess individual and group needs based on company's desired leadership skills and needs. Utilizes criteria and methods to identify talent and integrates with Learning & development to address development areas.

Assessments: Interprets and provides feedback on various assessments for Employee development and selection during the hiring and promotion process.

Talent Strategy: Supports development, implementation and perpetuation of enterprise talent strategy focusing on aligning with corporate priorities and workforce trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, organizational development, human resources development, psychology or a related field required. Master degree preferred. Seven years of experience in consulting, management, talent management, training and instructional design, workforce planning, project management, or related field, required. Position Summary

Acts as a Discipline Lead for a key set of technologies. Performs as a Subject Matter Expert on an application or set of technologies. Leads, coaches, and mentors software engineers and IT administrators. Serves as a consultant to management on needed skillsets, tools, and training.

The Master Engineer - Automation position will focus on the process of performing software testing activities with little or no human interaction, to achieve greater speed and efficiency. This position will focus on our IaaS patterns, standards, and best practices, creating repeatable processes and reusable components, and establishing criteria for determining if a SaaS offering meets ERIE standards for security, performance, testability, and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Creates and maintains code/configurations, focusing on highly complex/impactful delivery items, New Technology Introduction, and Level III support for Major Incidents/Production Outages.

Effectively communicates with customers, teammates, or other stakeholders by developing and managing relationships with diverse groups of stakeholders at multiple levels; describing and teaching the discipline for administrators and software engineers; and providing feedback to and consulting with management on administrator and software engineer strengths and areas of growth.

Proactively monitors the demand/capacity/security/performance of a technology domain and provides recommendations for maintaining service levels.

Accountable for overall quality of a technology domain, including verifying the applied discipline through solution, design, code, and unit test reviews (may delegate as appropriate); documenting, scoring, improving, and reporting on Non-Functional Requirements; and creating, maintaining and validating standards/patterns/disciplines/best practices to meet current and future needs.

Influences enterprise solution strategy and applies them through administrators and software engineers.

Maintains awareness of industry best-practices, opportunities, and risks related to the use of the key technology domain and is constantly looking forward to the future of the technology set, whether it's capacity/performance planning, upgrades/security enhancements, or lifecycle management (sunset/replace).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Business or related field, plus six years' related experience; or Associate degree in technical field, plus eight years' related experience; or High school diploma plus ten years' related experience.
