Staff Product Manager - Caching Infrastructure
The Infrastructure Services product team at Fastly is responsible for the imagination, design, development, and deployment of the cutting-edge, innovative technologies and products that form the core of Fastly's infrastructure and the solid foundation on which Fastly's leading products are built. We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to join the team, taking ownership of Caching and Storage Infrastructure at Fastly. Caching and Storage is at the very heart of Fastly's infrastructure and is a key motivator for our customers to select Fastly as their edge provider platform. Success in this role requires solving complex problems with extensive technical knowledge, closely collaborating with business and engineering partners across Fastly, and employing strong interpersonal skills. This role reports to the VP, Product, Infrastructure and Network Services.
What You'll Do
• Lead the imagination, design, development, and deployment – both product and technical – of Caching and Storage Infrastructure products at Fastly
• Build trusted relationships with engineering and product teams, and employ them to imagine, prioritize, build, and deploy these products
• Identify and build the telemetry, tooling and controls that are needed to fully define and articulate the long term vision for Caching and Storage Infrastructure at Fastly
• Define and monitor product success metrics using data driven goals
• Own all product, pricing, costing, and packaging decisions for your product line
• Be the subject matter expert and evangelist for these technologies
• Constantly balance our customers’ interests, making and influencing decisions about product features and functionality
Basic Qualifications
What We're Looking For
• You have 5+ years of experience in a technical role related to systems, networks, cloud services, content distribution networks or related areas
• You have 5+ years of experience of relevant product management experience
• You have a solid track record of delivering large scale infrastructure products to a global customer base
• You are highly technical, combined with a keen interest in delivering solutions that positively impact Fastly's business while solving tough challenges facing our customers
• You have a solid grasp of contemporary network and infrastructure trends and a reasonable grasp of distributed systems trends
• You like working on challenging problems in highly collaborative environments, where the strength of your argument and the depth of your expertise has a real impact on the trajectory and direction of the technologies and products
Preferred Qualifications
• You have deep technical expertise in Internet technologies / standards / protocols such as IPv4, IPv6, QUIC, TCP, UDP, TLS, HTTP, DNS, BGP
• You have been an operator or architect of a large scale, globally distributed services such as a content distribution network, HTTP accelerator, or a block storage system
• You are familiar with the business aspects of operating globally distributed, highly available and high capacity networks or cloud services

Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $181,220 to $226,520.

We’re looking for a seasoned CPQ Engineer to join our GTM Business Systems team responsible for the design, architecture, and development of our business systems infrastructure. We run the systems that encompass the entire buyer’s journey from initial lead through marketing, sales, renewal, accounting, customer success and advocacy using tools including Marketo... Salesforce, Gainsight, Aria, NetSuite, and Zendesk. The ideal candidate has a consistent track record of implementing solutions to business problems in Salesforce and its peripheral ecosystems from end-to-end, working with both internal (and sometimes external) partners. This role is supported by the Manager, Orderability Systems.
What You'll Do
• Be the subject matter expert for Fastly’s customized quote-to-cash implementation.
• Design, implement, maintain, and improve Salesforce customizations including CPQ (Steelbrick) and Advanced Approvals configuration, custom fields and objects, layouts, workflows, process builder and validation rules.
• Translate technical designs into SKUs and other related CPQ configuration.
• Partner with users of Salesforce and related systems to provide solutions for nuanced and complex issues, including bug escalations.
• Provide guidance as needed to Salesforce administrators on advanced CPQ functionality.
• Proactively analyze business problems & feature requests for patterns to develop solutions and technical requirements.
• Design, implement and maintain system integrations with our other business systems including Marketo, Zendesk, Aria, NetSuite, and homegrown systems.

What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
• 7+ years progressive experience as a Salesforce Architect, Admin, Developer or similar role and equivalent experience with 2+ years experience specifically as a Salesforce CPQ Admin, Engineer or Architect.
• Deep understanding of CPQ concepts such as MDQ, product rules, price actions, and associated automations related to opportunity, contract, and subscription management.
• Ability to lead several ongoing Salesforce.com customization projects from end-to-end, including gathering requirements, solution design and development, and finally working with internal partners to roll out the solution to their teams.
• Strong Proficiency with Salesforce.com including a deep understanding of customization capabilities across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Communities and the overall Salesforce platform in a Lightning-based environment.
• Demonstrable experience customizing the platform based on user requirements including custom fields and objects and layouts along with automation capabilities such as workflows, process builder, flows, and validation rules.
• Knowledge of Salesforce permissions, roles, reports, dashboards, and logical formulas.
• Understanding of implementing 3rd party apps from the AppExchange within SFDC as well as integrations with external 3rd party applications (such as Marketo, LeanData, Outreach, Zendesk, Gainsight, ZoomInfo, Bizible, etc.).
• History of working with a Salesforce developer or external contract team to implement sophisticated solutions requiring code development.
• Prior experience in a SaaS or usage/consumption-based business preferred.
• Solid B2B Lead-to-Quote and Quote-to-Cash process know-how in Salesforce environment and how these processes are implemented in a software company’s Salesforce environment.
• Ability to manage timelines, communicate delays, and clarify ambiguous requirements.
• Exceptional communicator, solid attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on project work performing Lightning Component, Visualforce or Apex development.
• Experience working with one or more of the following: Apttus/CLM, Marketo, LeanData, Outreach, Gainsight, Zendesk, Xactly.
• Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, Hubspot, etc).
