Fast Retailing USA is seeking a customer service oriented, cross-functional, hands-on technical team Manager with retail experience to lead our End User Services and Retail Support teams. The End User Services Manager is key to enabling team members to successfully execute day to day operations, lead technology projects enhancing the corporate and retail user experience, and maintaining a high level of end user satisfaction. The team consists of five (5) End User Services team members supporting North American office locations and one (1) Retail Support team member supporting Theory stores.

Job Responsibilities

The End User Services Manager is responsible for team management, IT service management, retail production solution support, and vendor management.

● Team Management: Supporting and enabling team members to be successful in incident resolution and request fulfillment within SLAs.

● IT Service Management: Management, execution, and KPI management for incident, request, problem, asset, and end user device lifecycle management.

● Retail Product Solution: Collaboration with retail business partners on continued evolution of retail digital solutions, incident management on retail technology issues, and lifecycle device management for retail technology devices.

● Vendor Management: Partnering and managing vendor relationships for existing and potential partners including, but not limited to, incident and cost management.

Qualifications

● 3 to 5 years experience managing a team of customer service oriented IT support engineers.

● 2+ years experience managing and supporting retail technologies.

● Experience managing and optimizing incident, request, knowledge, and asset management processes utilizing IT Service Management systems.

● Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical language into simplified context for end users and documentation.

● Proven ability to take initiative and adapt while demonstrating a positive attitude, empathy and high energy while providing excellent customer service.

● Experience using Active Directory for user, group and computer management.

● Expertise in troubleshooting Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and Word issues & experience with Google’s productivity suite.

● Expertise in kitting and technical support of Windows, MacOS, and iOS.

● Experience managing and maintaining iOS devices in MDM platforms.

● Experience kitting and supporting conference room technologies, such as Google Room Kits.

● Prior experience using remote tools to provide remote tier 2 technical support.

● Plus, ITILv3+ certified

● Plus, experience managing a Service Desk partner

Salary range for this role is $120,000.00 - $130,000.00*

Position Overview

The Cloud Infrastructure Manager reports into the Senior Director, Infrastructure and Tech Services leading a newly formed infrastructure team focused on customer facing services delivered globally. The role is responsible for managing a team of external members and internal infrastructure engineers as the team expands to meet demand and capacity requirements. As a people manager, you are expected to inspire and lead the team to achieve the teams’ goals aligning with the product roadmap and organization goals. Additionally, the role requires hands-on technical expertise implementing and supporting public cloud infrastructure.

Advanced hands-on experience of AWS container infrastructure services and best practices on building and operating infrastructure are required for the role. A broad and deep skillset, including, but not limited to, deployment automation, IaC, implementation and support of CI/CD pipelines, database optimization, and infrastructure security are required to improve and support our in-house developed services. The team is responsible for recovering system incidents in cooperation with the monitoring and level 2 operation teams. As a team manager, you will lead the team on incident resolution and have solid experience in isolating the cause of failures, providing instructions on how to recover quickly, and implementing these instructions.

Fast Retailing adopts a microservice architecture, dividing the functions that make up the service into component units and running each component on containerized infrastructure.

This position is expected to automate deployment through CI/CD of the container services, construct new infrastructure resources, and perform operational improvements to the container infrastructure in response to business forecasts and demand analysis. Additionally, continuous cost management for public cloud infrastructure is equally important to be monitored and maintained by the Cloud Infrastructure Manager leveraging our cost optimization toolset.

This role will partner with teams globally on US and global projects with the opportunity to gain vast experience on the technology evolution of our customer facing services. Global IT teams are continuously expanding with opportunities for career growth domestically and internationally as a technology leader and engineer within the Fast Retailing Group.

Job Responsibilities

· Management:

o Develop team culture, standards, and processes to ensure efficient value delivery

and measurable improvements to achieve organizational DevOps maturity.

o Actively contribute to the recruitment efforts for new DevOps engineers.

o Management of offshore team members and maintaining an inclusive team.

o Mentor and guide DevOps engineers and offshore team members.

o Lead the team through sprint completion.

· Infrastructure Technologies:

o Building public cloud infrastructure with IaC tools (Terraform IaC, etc).

o Development of tooling to improve operational efficiency, automation, and productivity using Python and/or Golang.

o Identify and follow best practices in cloud cost optimization, CI/CD pipelines, containers, observability, networking, and databases.

o Experiment and implement leading technologies with goals of improving operations, service observability, and service reliability.

o Partner with the Global DevOps team to execute infrastructure build-out and project management.

· Operations:

o Partner with the operation team in the timely resolutions of incidents.

o Building and improving monitoring and logging platforms using third-party monitoring software such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.

o Perform cost management and cost optimization on public cloud resources.

o Support incident response and security events in partnership with the Information Security Office.

o Create and maintain standard operating procedures and system manuals used by the Infrastructure team in their work.

Qualifications

Requirements:

· Hands-on expertise with AWS infrastructure design, build, and operations including, but not limited to, instances, containers, storage, networking, cloud security, and databases. (ECS, EKS, EBS, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch etc)

· 3+ years of experience leading a team of at least 5 people.

· 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure operations.

· Excellent communication, written, and analytical skills.

· Experience in building and managing infrastructure using IaC tools. (Terraform, Ansible, etc)

· Basic knowledge of SQL. (MySQL, postgreSQL, etc)

· Experience in developing operational tools to achieve operational improvements and automation in Python and/or Golang.

· Build and operate monitoring and logging platforms expanding on the monitoring elements, reports, and dashboards.

· Project management experience using Agile methodologies and managing the teams’ workload.

Preferred requirements:

· 5+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining production services, experience analyzing and troubleshooting systems.

· 5+ years of experience in planning and executing resource management processes and managing operational improvement plans for IT system operations.

· Experience designing, building, and troubleshooting for CDN utilizing Akamai.

· Ability to apply standardized project control mechanisms (e.g., planning, progress tracking, estimating and budgeting, resource planning, and allocation, issue and risk management, and process improvement).

· Experience with Confluence, Github, Jenkins, Jira, and Slack.

· Japanese communication and documentation skills, preferred, but not required

Salary range for this role is $155,000.00 - $165,000.00*
