The Guitar Inspector is required to process customer returns in system using scanner to process and confirm RMA's. Primary Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Essential Functions:
• Scan label in system and verify shipping label match RMA match product serial number. Enter product diagnoses in system and confirm Return Merchandise Authorization, along with merchandise handling duties.
• Place product on work station for a thorough inspection. Inspection for cosmetic finish flaws, sharp uneven surface, test for sound deficiencies, replace damaged parts, and adjust components to meet product criteria specifications.
• File bone nut slots to specifications using correct file size. Use sandpaper to sand bone nut to a smooth radius finish Use hand tools- screw driver, filer, caliper, and powered tools to perform necessary minor repairs. Use ruler and caliper to capture radius measurements.
• Product that requires special repairs will be repackaged and staged on pallet to ship out to facility that will perform repairs. Tune test guitar for playability and intonation. Assure all component parts are installed correctly and meet finish criteria.
• Make necessary adjustments to component parts-bridge/saddle, nut, neck, and pickups...etc. Hand feel product and visually inspect product for any damage scratches that don't pass criteria. Wipe product with cloth and buff/polish guitars that need a smooth shine finish.

Business Knowledge, Skill Requirements, and Desired Attributes:
• Strong guitar building, woodworking and finishing skills, in addition to a full understanding of raw material specifications.
• Excellent product knowledge of all models in current and past production.
• Knowledge and skills with fret leveling/dressing.
• Guitar playing background.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with use of calipers, micrometer, digital multimeter, guitar building hand tools, feeler gauges, soldering equipment, and buffing wheel.
• Supervisory Duties:
• No supervisory duties required.

Experience Requirements:

1-2 years' experience and/or training, preferably in production inspection and guitar playing experience.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Reporting to the Director of Brand Copy, the Senior Copywriter will work with our in-house Brand Creative, Marketing and Product teams on creative strategy, campaign concept development and brand messaging across all channels and experiences. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, passionate storyteller and strong creative leader with experience crafting big, disruptive brand stories that break through the clutter – someone with a unique POV on music-making, home recording and pop culture who looks through both a creative and strategic lens.

What you'll do:
• Create engaging and strategic copy solutions for the FMIC family of physical products with a focus on the Presonus brand.
• Develop a clear brand voice that elevates storytelling around the Presonus brand of products and experiences. Optimize that voice to craft messaging for varied audiences on multiple platforms including Digital, CRM and Social.
• Collaborate with our internal Brand Creative team and/or outside agency partners to ideate and execute best-in-class creative that elevates the Presonus brand
• Translate transactional product copy (specs and benefits) into consumer-friendly language across all channels; Understand the products and work cross-functionally to deliver engaging creative that pushes the brand voice further.
• Provide copy support for other brands in the FMIC family as needed – including Fender, Jackson and Gretsch.
• Ensure that creative and paid media work harmoniously (ie: creative is optimized for distribution/placement and vice versa)
• Build strong creative strategies based on data-driven insights
• Additional duties as assigned

Who you are:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, with an emphasis in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Journalism preferred
• Minimum 5 years' in-house brand or agency experience in copywriting, brand storytelling, creative strategy and campaign concept development
• Proven experience developing and implementing brand voice guidelines successfully, and writing multichannel marketing content for social, digital, CRMplatforms
• Genuine passion for brand storytelling, and the ability to channel your own unique voice and POV on music-making and culture to craft compelling brand level copy.
• Experience developing brand stories and product campaigns that break through the clutter in a crowded MI marketplace.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface with audiences of all levels throughout the company
• Familiarity with home recording, beat-making, DAWs, music production and audio engineering a HUGE plus
