The Guitar Inspector is required to process customer returns in system using scanner to process and confirm RMA's. Incumbent must thoroughly inspect return product-(Guitars and Amps) each returned unit requires detailed trouble shooting and quality to identify possible mechanical or cosmetic defects. Primary Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Essential Functions:
• Scan label in system and verify shipping label match RMA match product serial number. Enter product diagnoses in system and confirm Return Merchandise Authorization, along with merchandise handling duties.
• Place product on work station for a thorough inspection. Inspection for cosmetic finish flaws, sharp uneven surface, test for sound deficiencies, replace damaged parts, and adjust components to meet product criteria specifications.
• File bone nut slots to specifications using correct file size. Use sandpaper to sand bone nut to a smooth radius finish Use hand tools- screw driver, filer, caliper, and powered tools to perform necessary minor repairs. Use ruler and caliper to capture radius measurements.
• Product that requires special repairs will be repackaged and staged on pallet to ship out to facility that will perform repairs. Tune test guitar for playability and intonation. Assure all component parts are installed correctly and meet finish criteria.
• Make necessary adjustments to component parts-bridge/saddle, nut, neck, and pickups...etc. Hand feel product and visually inspect product for any damage scratches that don't pass criteria. Wipe product with cloth and buff/polish guitars that need a smooth shine finish.
Business Knowledge, Skill Requirements, and Desired Attributes:
• Strong guitar building, woodworking and finishing skills, in addition to a full understanding of raw material specifications.
• Excellent product knowledge of all models in current and past production.
• Knowledge and skills with fret leveling/dressing.
• Guitar playing background.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The Sander will work exclusively in the sanding pre/post paint production process. The Sander will be responsible for the sanding and semi-finishing of electric guitar bodies. Sanding will be done in an up/down motion and counterclockwise motion; more specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for manually sanding guitars, quality control of production, make very minor corrections to irregularities and cleanup of immediate work area.
The Sander/Buffer will sand/buff guitar necks and bodies to product specifications to ensure quality finished product. The employee will be required to use hand tools (manual air sander, buffing machine, multiple sandpaper grade...etc.) to perform essential job functions. Employee is regularly required to stand, occasionally walk, use hands to handle, grip, grasp, and feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move guitar necks and/or bodies to next workstation process. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision to inspect necks, bodies and paint coating for contamination or damage. Perform repairs as needed to remove finish imperfections as assigned. Ability to adhere to procedures for different topcoat finishes.
Knowledge/Requirements
• Good verbal and written communication skills so that effective is feedback is provided to Supervisor.
• Contributes to department/unit teamwork, adapts to change and fast working environment
• Ability to develop and/or implement new and improved ways of doing work. Makes suggestions to supervisor that could improve departmental effectiveness and better accomplish work goals.
• Sanding skills, woodworking and finishing skills
• 6 months – 1-year related experience and/or training, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
Education & Qualifications
• 2 years’ experience and/or training preferred but not required.
• Guitar or musical background preferred but not required.

The Sander will work exclusively in the sanding pre/post paint production process. The Sander will be responsible for the sanding and semi-finishing of electric guitar bodies. Sanding will be done in an up/down motion and counterclockwise motion; more specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for manually sanding guitars, quality control of production, make very minor corrections to irregularities and cleanup of immediate work area.
The Sander/Buffer will sand/buff guitar necks and bodies to product specifications to ensure quality finished product. The employee will be required to use hand tools (manual air sander, buffing machine, multiple sandpaper grade...etc.) to perform essential job functions. Employee is regularly required to stand, occasionally walk, use hands to handle, grip, grasp, and feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move guitar necks and/or bodies to next workstation process. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision to inspect necks, bodies and paint coating for contamination or damage. Perform repairs as needed to remove finish imperfections as assigned. Ability to adhere to procedures for different topcoat finishes.

Who you are:

• Proven experience developing and implementing brand voice guidelines successfully, and writing multichannel marketing content for social, digital, CRMplatforms

We are seeking a Staff Engineer, Environmental Health and Safety to join our team in Corona, CA. This individual will be responsible for the development of safety programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations. You will be responsible for facility inspections and accident investigations. Be active on the production floor to motivate and guide employees on safety practices for Fender’s safety culture. Among other duties, you will also administer training programs and develop safety record-keeping systems across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Work with management to assure compliance with applicable DOT, CAL-OSHA, AQMD, and EPA regulations.
• Assist/lead external inspections from federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
• Conducts routine, scheduled facility inspections and audits to monitor and detect potential safety, health, and environmental hazards.
• Conducts safety audits, supports inspections & maintains OSHA or equivalent local regulatory required documentation.
• Maintains site environmental permits and complies with all reporting and permit application requirements under all related local and regional laws and regulations.
• Development of site safety-related communications.
• Providing advice and whenever necessary hands on support to the operations managers / sub-contractors in such activities as Job Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment, environmental monitoring and Incident Investigation and analysis.
• Lead in cross functional teams for EHS issue resolution or for new equipment/process approval.
• Creates and monitors a monthly safety training plan to promote a safe work environment.
• Identifies and interprets applicable regulations and proactively informs management of issues and potential solutions.
• Assist in incident investigations to identify root cause analysis to appropriately mitigate risks.
• Provides subject matter expert review of procedures, mishap reports, and other documents.
• Maintains consistent level of communication with all team members and ensure that they understand and follow all company policies (emergency response & safety), laws and practices.
• Manages associated record keeping systems and processes such as TRIR, injury trends, etc.
• Acquires and maintains all required facility related documents such as SDS, IIPP, Emergency Contingency Plan, Emergency Evacuation maps, etc.
• Participates in meetings and project teams as the safety compliance representative.
• Lead safety committee and communicate with safety steering committee.
• Conducts and documents safety and health-related facility and equipment inspections.
• Perform risk assessments, JHA’s, and ergonomic evaluations.
• Daily upkeep of training logs, charts, and tracking of key metrics related to people development and schedule.
• Manage workers compensation claims from initial reporting to work status updates, claims reviews, investigations, depositions, and claims closure.
• Develop and implement strong behavioral base safety initiatives.
• Additional relevant responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree required in environmental health and safety / engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of pertinent EHS experience required.
• Promotes and creates an environment where Team Members work collaboratively and foster a safe and positive work setting.
• Knowledge of EHS programs, excellent communication, motivational and organizational skills.
• Ability to appropriately respond to safety policies and, where needed, provide reports, presentations, information and communications.
