Job Summary

As a Senior Tax Manager,you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our tax practice. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of talented tax professionals, providing expert tax planning and compliance services, and developing and maintaining strong client relationships. Additionally, this position offers a clear path to partnership, providing you with the opportunity to shape the future direction of our firm.

Responsibilities
• Effectively lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional growth and ensure high-quality client service.
• Utilize your extensive tax knowledge and experience to develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies for our clients. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and providing strategic tax guidance. Understand their business goals and challenges, anticipate their needs, and deliver tailored solutions to drive their success.
• Actively participate in business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, attending networking events, and showcasing our firm's tax expertise.
• Collaborate with other service lines within the firm, such as audit and advisory, to deliver integrated client solutions. Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
• Keep abreast of the latest tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide proactive and innovative tax planning strategies. Share your expertise through internal training sessions and professional presentations.

Qualifications
• A minimum of [5] years of experience in tax, preferably in a public accounting firm.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proven track record of managing and leading a team of tax professionals.
• Exceptional client service skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex tax concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

In this... role, you will be responsible for collaborating with Firm personnel for accurate time reporting and payroll processing, as well as direct engagement with the Finance Team for accounting tasks primarily associated with period close, payroll compliance and overall general accounting tasks.

The individual will identify value-added opportunities to better serve the businesses and senior management, including identifying opportunities and making recommendations for overall individual performance improvement.

What You’ll Do
• Daily review of time reporting for accuracy, timeliness and compliance
• Review team email inbox for time related inquiries and corrections
• Completeness of time with each period close (twice each month)
• Closing of period and associated financial reporting
• Production of time and benefits reporting used for semi-monthly payroll
• Reconciliation of Hours, OT and PTO for each payroll
• Assist Finance leadership with client maintenance
• Assist with Firm credit card administration and compliance review
• Draft accounting entries associated with period closes and payroll
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

• Ability to work independently with expanding duties and responsibilities while at the same time working within a team environment to drive results, efficiencies, and meeting deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication and people skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to exercise discretion and strong judgment in handling confidential information.

Your Qualifications
• Office 365, especially MS Excel
• 2 years related experience – preferably billing.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant work experience of 3-5 years in accounting.
