What you’ll do:

As a Business Analyst in the Innovation & Digital Factory organization at FirstEnergy (I&DF), you will join a digital transformation team working in an Agile environment and provide support and expertise to squads and team members working to deliver specific products. As a member of the Innovation & Agile team, you will provide strategic support across I&DF by coordinating and leading efforts in capability development analysis and reporting, pipeline management and prioritization, and value realization. Furthermore, you will:
• Develop and lead analysis and reporting activities for I&DF (e.g. Objectives and Key Results, Capability Development, Performance Metrics, etc.).
• Coordinate with squads to define, implement, and track Agile performance metrics in development and product performance metrics once solution enters production.
• Participate in agile events, such as backlog refinement and sprint planning, to support squads and Product Owners with writing user stories and other related activities, where needed.

What You Will Need to be Qualified:
• A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or another related field along with 4 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of related experience.
• Related experience will include general experience in business strategy, project and program management, business analytics, and reporting.
• Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams as an analyst. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology is a plus.
• Experience with basic quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques to support cost-benefit analysis, business case development, forecasting, or similar activities.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as PowerBI.
• Experience with Agile project management and development platforms, such as Azure DevOps, is a plus.
• Ability to research and quickly learn industry trends / domains and end user demands from pain points, then apply them to practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with ability to present complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story.

Summary

This position supervises and coordinates the IT operations and staff responsible for the development, enhancement, integration, and support of the Human Resources and Supply Chain business units’ applications and systems. 1. Walks to meter location; checks meter number to number on hand-held unit display.
2. Reads dials of electric watt-hour meters, demand indicators, and other meters.

The I&C Technician functions as a team member or individual to perform technical, manual and administrative activities required to install, inspect, test, maintain, repair and calibrate instrumentation gauges, meters, relays, communication equipment, electronic, electrical and pneumatic controls and investigate and correct problems with station equipment and controls. Reports to the I&C Supervisor Plant Production.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Installing, inspecting and maintaining, repairing and calibrating instruments, gauges, meters, relays, communication equipment, electronic, electrical and pneumatic controls and associated equipment at a power station.
- Investigate, collecting data, test, make recommendations and prepare reports on unusual problems with various station equipment and controls.
- Interpreting and analyzing reports of other system failures; redesigning problem areas; preparing recommendations; and providing assistance for modifications.
- Conducting various tests such as stack emission, material scales, heat rate, turbine, pumps, compressors, fans, condenser and pulverizer performance, etc; analyze results; make recommendations; and prepare reports.
- Investigating malfunctions and repairing all instrumentation.
- Troubleshooting and repairing problems from relay level circuitry through microprocessor-based systems. Use DCS to troubleshoot control problems.
- Utilizing equipment technical manuals, equipment vendor contacts, station and corporate technical contacts to assist with troubleshooting equipment.
- Read and work from prints, control circuit schematics, DCS and PLC logic, and other equipment functional diagrams.
- Remain up to date of operating, troubleshooting and instrument test procedures and practices.
- Providing coverage for unit and equipment outages/startups (including off shifts), both planned and forced.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required:

The engineering positions in the Transmission & Substation Support are responsible for assisting with the development of FEU Substation Maintenance Practices/ Methods and providing regulatory and engineering technical support to other groups within TSS and to the 5 FE State Operating areas for substation equipment. These positions support compliance adherence of all FE-owned substations serving regulated and non-regulated customers and generating facilities. About the Opportunity

There are multiple roles open and can be located in any of the FE locations.

This position is responsible for managing, monitoring and controlling projects to ensure that they safely achieve the Project deliverables within the approved scope, cost and schedule. Employees at the senior level of this job family are recognized as subject matter experts. They lead by example, educate and direct others on technical subject matters and are responsible for solving highly complex problems and managing highly complex projects. At this level the Project Manager is expected to manage any project in the portfolio with guidance as needed from the Manager. Projects assigned will progress in complexity and variety to facilitate acquiring a breadth of knowledge and experience to become a subject matter expert.

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FEU]

Responsibilities include:
• Reviewing Project documents for clarity and completeness - examples include contracts, requisitions, Bills of Material or Material Requests for Issue, Task Authorizations, and Engineering Work Requests.
• Reviewing Project and contract budgets for adequacy, completeness, and other requirements and assuring that required budgets exist and Project budget revisions are initiated if required.
• Focusing on ensuring that proper change management and application integration activities are included in the Project plan and monitoring the Project to ensure the planned tasks are completed.
• Coordinating with Business Services personnel to prepare capital expenditure authorizations and associated Project budget revisions.
• Providing the Management Sponsor with Project status (scope, budget and schedule progress) and identification of issues requiring management involvement for resolution.
• Obtaining concurrence (or buy-in) from affected departments to support the proposed schedule and resource requirements. Reviewing and approving of Project Plans.
• Validating that Project estimates are appropriately developed and that contingency is correctly applied.
• Ensuring the tactical and strategic plan alignment of the Project.
• Monitoring and / or reporting contractor resource levels.
• Ensuring adequacy of Project Team membership and participation. Responsible for overseeing the activities of consultants and contractors.
• Understanding the terms of the contract and associated documentation of services under the contract/purchase order. Upon mobilization to the site, reviews applicable topics delineated in the Service Contractor Orientation / Evaluation Checklist with the contractor.
• Responsible for the quality assurance and control program, including identification of quality requirements, responsibility for QA program (Energy Delivery's or Contractor's program) and if required, review and approval process for contractor provided procedures.
• Communicating Project goals, priorities and decisions to the Region / Corporate Leadership Team.
• Ensuring Project challenge meetings, peer reviews and assessments are performed.
• Working with Portfolio Management and / or Work Management personnel to develop and update the Project schedule.
• Identifying and notifying the Project Team of additional resources or requirements necessary to meet the Project scope or schedule.
• Ensuring the documentation, scheduling and disposition of open items applicable to department's area of functional responsibility.
• Coordinating the close-out and lessons-learned documentation applicable to the Project; Audit completed projects to evaluate whether identified objectives and benefits have been realized or establish a time table of benefit realization.

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or related field is required. Minimum of 8 years’ related experience required. In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to applicants having 12 years related experience or 8 years transmission experience.
• Related experience includes project organization, engineering, finance, construction, project management, planning or project controls.
• Strong project management skills are required with a demonstrated ability to develop, manage and control multiple tasks.
• Experience with a project management tool such as Primavera, MS Project, etc. with related Scheduling / Resource Planning expertise is a plus.
• Detailed Project Controls experience is a definite plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical ability are required.
• Successful candidate must be a team player and possess a willingness to work in a team environment.
