The Quality Control Associate role is responsible for conducting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout all areas of the distribution center (DC). The audits will be focused on supplier compliance and adherence to industry standards for EDI, packing slip accuracy, labeling, and general packing and inbound shipping quality. This position requires establishing and maintaining a strategic and collaborative relationship with a remote team in Pittsburgh and supporting the internal distribution team. The Quality Control Associate ensures the adherence for suppliers to meet our Operational Requirements and the penetration of electronic transaction utilization.

A Day in the Life:
• Complete detailed documentation of inbound supplier receiving audits
• Oversee audits that include the review of packing slip accuracy, labeling accuracy, carton integrity, general packing and shipping
• Inspect and document audit of damaged freight
• Provide documentation and communication of non-compliance with both the Supplier Relations and DC Teams
• Support department standup meetings
• Participate in the involvement of continuous improvement in developing compliance systems and process
• Demonstrate strong safety awareness and flow all the guidelines within the DC
• Participate in DC and Supplier Relations activities and events

A day in the Life:
