The Supplier Relations Quality Control Associate is part of the Customer Channels Group (CCG) serving academic, pharmaceutical, biotech, government and industrial customers by providing them with products manufactured by our company as well as those sourced from other industry-leading suppliers around the world. Discover Impactful Work:
The Quality Control Associate role is responsible for conducting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout all areas of the distribution center (DC). The audits will be focused on supplier compliance and adherence to industry standards for EDI, packing slip accuracy, labeling, and general packing and inbound shipping quality. This position requires establishing and maintaining a strategic and collaborative relationship with a remote team in Pittsburgh and supporting the internal distribution team. The Quality Control Associate ensures the adherence for suppliers to meet our Operational Requirements and the penetration of electronic transaction utilization.
A Day in the Life:
• Complete detailed documentation of inbound supplier receiving audits
• Oversee audits that include the review of packing slip accuracy, labeling accuracy, carton integrity, general packing and shipping
• Inspect and document audit of damaged freight
• Provide documentation and communication of non-compliance with both the Supplier Relations and DC Teams
• Support department standup meetings
• Participate in the involvement of continuous improvement in developing compliance systems and process
• Demonstrate strong safety awareness and flow all the guidelines within the DC
• Participate in DC and Supplier Relations activities and events

This leadership position is responsible for the Data and Analytics strategy and execution across the Healthcare division within our Customer Channels Group. The Sr. Manager, Data Science leads the development of data science and digital marketing technologies to drive commercial success. This role is leads the team and processes to cultivate prospects and develop them into qualified leads for the sales organization or convert them into buyers on fishersci.com. You will work closely with Data Scientists, the audience management team and the demand generation team to ensure programs leverage data science to move potential buyers from awareness, to engagement to conversion.
Efficient and effective opportunity identification and lead management is paramount to this role, including definition and management of the processes, planning and execution of programs to effectively capture leads and move leads through the lead stages, and tracking and reporting of lead development. This person plays a key role in maintaining marketing alignment with the sales, driving sales adoption of data science programs and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with key sales team members.
Your team will demonstrate a suite of tools to find opportunities, capture leads, qualify them, route them to the sales organization and provide tracking and analysis. These tools include Eloqua, Salesforce.com, Power BI, and Adobe Analytics. Experience with these tools is a plus.

Efficient and effective opportunity identification and lead management is paramount to this role, including definition and management of the processes, planning and execution of programs to effectively capture leads and move leads through the lead stages, and tracking and reporting of lead development. As Analytical Development expert, You will plan, design, implement, and document laboratory and tech transfer activities. • Develop platform assays for gene therapy characterization.
• Collaborate across the larger Thermo Fisher Scientific network on novel technologies (such as Raman or other process analytical technology tools) for real time characterization of gene therapy molecules and developing automation workflows (Pharma 4.0).
• Support in-house GLP/GCLP infrastructure, systems and procedures to ensure adequate thorough laboratory practices & regulatory requirements for analytical activities.
• Work with other team members to priorities and objectives for staff to ensure timely completion of tasks as per project timelines. Interact with clients, ensures accurate data and presentations to the clients.

How do we make an impact?
The position is focused primarily on scientific support services within Unity Lab Services core offerings of order entry, order management, operating customer procurement systems, stockroom services, material handling, shipping/receiving, and chemical tracking.
What will you do?
• Use Thermo Fisher Scientific's or customer's inventory/order management electronic systems to perform the following activities: on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry and expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing
• Perform laboratory services such as order delivery, glassware processing, biological waste processing, chemical inventory receipt/reconciliation, and reagent preparation
• Follow work processes as outlined by our written procedures
• Proactively communicates with supervisor any customer concerns and/or potential problems
