Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
• Work within a stepped-care model of care* to provide short-term individual and group counseling support to FIT students
• Respond to any urgent and critical student concerns, including the need for hospitalization
• Perform risk assessments for students seeking counseling
• Provide intakes for students presenting with a range of concerns (including pre-existing conditions) and make appropriate assessments, external referrals and follow-up outreach
• Provide support and follow-up to administration, faculty, parents and students
• Ability to provide short-term (1-3 sessions) or single-session psychotherapy and develop workshops and programs based on student needs and interests
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting with complex cases
• Provide case management and follow up with referred providers to ensure continuation of care
• Create posts and stories for social media posts and weekly newsletter
• Respond to walk-in emergencies
• Manage disposition planning
• Supervise interns/externs and peer educators as assigned
• Co-manage peer educator program
• Develop and organize workshops and events

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's and Master's required, Licensed clinician (PhD, PsyD, DSW, and LCSW) in NY State required.
• 5+ years clinical experience in a college counseling center or hospital setting required.
• Case management experience required.
• Prior experience providing outreach services required.
• Prior work with adolescents and young adults required.
• Knowledge of community mental health resources and facilities.
• Experience in conducting mental status exams.
• Experience with a wide range of diagnosis, diagnostic assessment, and crisis intervention.
• Sensitivity to multicultural, under privileged, LGBTQ, and trauma issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with college community and to represent counseling center at campus-wide events.
• Experience in inpatient facilities.
• Experience utilizing electronic medical records.
• Experience with substance abuse.
• Experience with DBT techniques.
• Experience working in college mental health setting.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree plus seven years as an

MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND WORKING REQUIREMENTS:

This position will be required to constantly read and
comprehend, occasionally perform calculations, constantly verbally
communicate, frequently analyze, and constantly write. The working
conditions for this position will be any combination of the
classroom, lab, and/or office space. Certain roles may be required
to handle machinery and chemicals. The physical requirement for
this position will require occasional sitting, constant standing,
occasional bending, frequent walking, and occasionally lifting 10
lbs. or less.

Additional Information:

This is a part-time position, adjunct teaching position

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Counselor reports to the Director of Career and Internship Services, and is responsible for providing current students and alumni career and experiential learning counseling through scheduled appointments and drop-in services for career counseling and for successfully placing students into credit bearing internships.

Counselors organize and manage outreach opportunities, workshops, special events, and other programs for our constituents. The Counselor is responsible for a student caseload and works collaboratively with others in the department, academic departments and schools and industry on program and event planning as related to careers and internships.

The Counselor contributes to the unit's mission of working to provide students with the real-world experience and guiding them in identifying and attaining their internship, and career objectives.
• Provide one-on-one and/or group counseling to students on matters related to career and professional development and the job search process; works to create individualized job search plans and strategies that will assist them in achieving their career goals, provides alumni contacts, networking strategies and resources and conducts mock interviews.
• Manage a student caseload to provide credit-internship counseling.
• Assist students with resumes, cover letters, portfolios, interview prep, and other professional communications
• Engage with students in-person and virtually for career counseling sessions and drop-in hours on a regular basis.
• Manage counseling appointments, scheduling; and record appointment details and counseling notes in Symplicity.
• Represent the department through collaboration with faculty, administrators, and campus departments.
• Assist with the development and delivery of career and internship education content for programming and co-curricular events, activities and classroom presentations, in collaboration with on/off campus partners.
• Creates and edits written informational materials on career-related and job search related matters including, but not limited to, fliers, brochures, publications, and web and social media content and markets the program to students, alumni, faculty, staff and other administrative offices.
• Supports the planning of department and participates in college-wide events (ie New Student Orientation, Open House, Families in Transition, Career Fair, Career Week, Resume Review days, etc.).
• Participate in department committees.
• Participate in professional development activities and opportunities.
• Creates and updates social media, web page and website content and fields routine questions from graduate students, alumni, student groups, alumni groups, staff, other administrative offices and employers.
• Performs administrative tasks including answering phones, responding to emails, scheduling appointments.

Job Description:

The Fashion Institute of Technology is seeking a Research
Analyst to work in the Office of Institutional Research, reporting
to the Executive Director of Institutional Research and
Effectiveness. The primary function of the Institutional Research
Office is to support institutional decision-making and external
reporting with accurate, useful, appropriate analysis. The office
is responsible for coordinating submissions to various agencies
including federal IPEDS reporting, state reporting (SUNY and
NYSED), college guides, and accrediting bodies along with
fulfilling research requests from internal areas including
Enrollment Management, Budget and Finance, Human Resources and
Academic Affairs. The office manages a data warehouse in a SAS
environment. In addition, the office is heavily involved in
coordinating surveys and analyzing and communicating
results.

The Research Analyst will contribute to all of these projects.
In addition to maintaining several large reporting projects in SAS
that cover a wide range of topics, the analyst will design new
projects, in areas such as enrollment forecasting, faculty
workload, student retention, and the building of automatic data
reports using SAS and SQL. The candidate will handle data requests
that require learning new databases, extracting and cleaning data,
thinking strategically about measuring and presenting data
visually, documenting processes, and ensuring
accuracy.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative or
research-based discipline and at least five (5) years of relevant
experience required.

A broad range of academic fields may prepare the candidate for the
position, but strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant experience, preferably in higher education, is
preferred. Experience outside of higher education will be
considered, but the successful candidate will have a specific
interest in student success and in higher education operations.
Relevant coursework will be considered in lieu of direct
experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong writing and communication skills are required. Successful
candidates must have a solid understanding of statistics, research
methods, survey methodology, and data analysis. The office has
adopted SAS as its primary software for reporting and analysis.
Experience with SAS or similar software packages (SPSS, Stata,
etc.) is preferred. Other valuable types of experience include SQL,
experience with enterprise-wide data systems, data warehousing and
business intelligence applications, and data visualization
tools.

Job Description:

Assistant Athletics Coaches will report to the Head Coach, and
will be responsible for managing assigned facets of the team,

rules and regulations. Assistant coach duties may include

• Assuming full responsibility for student-athlete welfare and
team operations during all team-related proceedings in the absence
of the head coach.

• Providing supervision for team managers and scorekeepers
• Recruiting quality student-athletes based on academic goals as
well as athletic ability
• Attending all practices and meets; providing team and
individual skill development.
• Scheduling, planning and organizing practice sessions
• Scheduling regional and competitive non-region regular season
competitions
• Planning and coordinating of team travel arrangements
• Managing team budget and keeping strict records of all

• Entering athletes for scheduled competitions as required by
competition directors
• Recording and reporting scores, statistics and team
records
• Reporting results and providing competition summaries for
promotion online and on social media
• Entering scores and statistics on the NJCAA website within 24
hours after each competition

Established in 2017, FIT's MFA Fashion Design program is based on the FIT campus in close proximity to New York's Garment District. The School of Graduate Studies seeks a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in the MFA Fashion Design Department with fashion design creation expertise. The full-time faculty member will be an experienced fashion designer with teaching and professional industry experience.
