DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:
Under the direction of the Dean of Health Sciences and Horticulture, the primary role of the fulltime Veterinary Technology Instructor is to teach veterinary technology students on various subjects in lecture and laboratory settings. These veterinary technicians in training must learn both didactic and skills-based information, with an emphasis on critical thinking and clinical application of knowledge. Responsibilities will include demonstrating competency and comfortability teaching lecture and hands-on lab courses with live animals which may include but are not limited to: anatomy and physiology, radiology, beginning and advanced nursing skills, anesthesia and surgery, large animal skills, pharmacology, emergency medicine, animal behavior, and other topics. The ideal candidate will have the ability to implement multiple active learning strategies.and the ability to positively interact with a diverse student population using a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion lens. Anability to bring real world experiences and techniques into the classroom is expected. The program philosophy is one of collaboration among faculty to teach critical thinking skills in students using multiple modalities in teaching. The program has an animal colony including large and small animals, a clinical laboratory, surgical suite, and a radiology suite with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, and ultrasound. The ideal candidate will be able to transfer veterinary clinical experience to the classroom and help students understand the underlying reasons for their training. The ideal full-time instructor will be experienced in performing or participating in small animal surgery and dentistry and interested in helping to develop the next generation of veterinary nurses.
Additional non-teaching responsibilities will include some participation in the following activities:
• Animal care
Overseeing care of program animals including but not limited to evaluation of program animals, overseeing day to day husbandry of the program animals as well as the students who are caring for the program animals.
• Student essential skills
Overseeing essential skills assessments. The AVMA-CVTEA, our accreditor, requires that each student demonstrate competency in over 100 essential skills.
• Facility oversight
Overseeing program animal housing. Managing routine maintenance for essential equipment, maintaining inventory for laboratory classes and animal care
• Participating in program specific committees and regulatory compliance (Advisory Board, IACUC, USDA, CVTEA, California VMB)
Standard duties expected of all faculty include development and evaluation of curricula, maintaining scheduled office hours, attending department and division meetings, pursuing professional growth activities, and performing other duties consistent with the role of an instructor. Instructors also can serve on district and college committees and participate in campus extra-curricular activities and outreach. We are looking for a dynamic educator who is sensitive to students’ different learning styles and educational needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff.
• Graduate of an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program AND a valid California State license as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or valid California State license as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor (DVM or VMD).
• Minimum 6 years of in-clinic experience ending within the past two years.

Duties and Responsibilities
Foothill college is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and collegial full-time English instructor with a strong commitment to the mission of California's community colleges. The successful candidate will teach the core sequence of composition, critical reading, and critical thinking courses (and related support courses) and may teach courses in the instructor's areas of expertise and/or interests: literature, creative writing, journalism, and/or technical writing. We invite applicants with experience and interest in elevating student voices on campus, including via student journalism. Teaching assignments will be primarily on-campus, with some online and hybrid, and faculty are expected to engage in professional contributions on the Foothill campus throughout the academic year.
The successful applicant will have credentials and experience in composition and reading theory, with an excitement for helping us meet the challenges and leverage the opportunities of a 21st century education in writing and literary studies. Faculty support student success through the application and understanding of materials, pedagogies, assessment methods, and feedback techniques that are effective with a diverse student population. A successful applicant will have a demonstrated interest in collaborating with faculty and staff to increase student success, persistence, and retention. Faculty responsibilities include evaluating existing departmental programs and courses and keeping current with research, pedagogies, and methodologies for teaching linguistically diverse students.
Standard duties expected of all full-time faculty include development, assessment, and revision of curricula and textbooks; program review; Student Learning Outcomes assessment; maintaining scheduled office hours; attending department/division meetings; pursuing professional growth activities; service on district and/or college committees; and working with other departments and community partners to improve student success. We seek faculty members who are themselves the life-long learners and independent thinkers we encourage our students to be. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with journalism, publications, and/or student voice projects.
• Experience supporting the success of disproportionately impacted students through mentoring, club advising, and/or support of learning communities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills applicable to the duties and challenges related to carrying out departmental and institutional responsibilities.
• Knowledge of the California community college system and the populations it serves.

The counseling faculty should expect their time to be split between supporting dual enrollment efforts and providing counseling services to the general student population. This position is responsible for teaching classes and providing community college bound counseling services at Foothill and participating high schools, with possible online assignments. The faculty will work on and off campus; such activities will include working collaboratively with the Foothill Student Outreach Office, community presentations, middle school and high school presentations, teaching, and other duties as assigned. This position may require evening and/or Saturday hours. Participation in campus committees, curriculum development and professional activities is expected.
Standard duties expected of all faculty include development and evaluation of curricula, maintaining scheduled office hours, attending department and division meetings, pursuing professional growth activities, service on district and/or college committees, and performing other duties consistent with the role of an instructor. Under the direction of the Dean, Health Sciences and Horticulture, the full-time tenure track instructor and Program Director will be responsible for the administration, organization and supervision of the Paramedic, EMR and EMT programs. This includes oversight of accreditation, continuous quality improvement of these programs. The program director is responsible for validating the competency of candidates, including but not limited to the National EMS certification, conducting EMT level psychomotor examinations and other related certifications. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
• Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate EMS educational program offerings.
• Teach classes for EMR, EMT, Paramedic, Continuing Education, ACLS, PALS, BLS and PHTLS, either on campus or off-site; supervise the activities of course participants during instructional time.

• Review and revise, as needed, the annual application to recruit, select, admit, and notify students into the paramedic program
• Oversee incoming student orientation and program completion ceremonies;

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to Dean of Student Development and EOPS, the Psychological Services Counselor will provide a full range of counseling and clinical services for De Anza’s diverse student population. Specific duties include intake, evaluation and brief therapy, educational and personal counseling; crisis intervention, case management; referral to campus and community resources to secure basic needs and to ensure continuity of therapeutic care; consultation with faculty, staff and administrators regarding mental health issues; develop strategies and activities that foster student wellness and campus safety. Develop and conduct outreach and prevention events and services, including those specifically designed for vulnerable student populations including, economically disadvantaged, foster youth, veterans and homeless students. Develop and implement in-service workshops for faculty, staff and administrators. Provide supervision and training for graduate interns. Develop formal partnerships with local county behavioral health departments and/or community-based organizations to establish longer-term referral networks for students in need of ongoing mental health services. Assist with developing and maintaining the department’s equity plans and social practices. Help the college meet its commitment to global, cultural, and social awareness though the praxis of equity, social justice, and multicultural education. Demonstrate the commitment to professional development and the practice of cultural humility. Support social justice, equity, and sensitivity in staffing, curriculum, programs, and service delivery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:
• Operating from a strong equity lens, the Psychological Services Counselor will:
• Provide intake, evaluation, brief therapy, and personal counseling to enrolled students.
• Provide in-service to faculty, staff, and administrators regarding mental health needs within marginalized and communities of color including topics such as racial trauma, racialized violence, and LGBTQ+ identities.
• Conduct effective outreach and programming, and culturally relevant approaches to mental health services.
• Support social justice, equity, and awareness in staffing, curriculum, programs, and service delivery.
• Further the district’s commitment to global, cultural, and social awareness through the praxis of equity, social justice, and multicultural education.
• Further De Anza College’s commitment to support diverse student populations by developing and maintaining department Equity in Mental Health Action Plan activities.
• Develop strategies and activities that foster student wellness and campus safety, such as outreach and prevention events and services, including those specifically designed for transgender students, foster youth, veterans, and homeless students.
• Conduct crisis assessment, response, and intervention via Maxient.

• Develop relationships with campus faculty, staff, student clubs and local community-based resources to implement equity-minded mental health and wellness education strategies.

Standard duties expected of all faculty include development and evaluation of curricula, maintaining scheduled office hours, attendance at department and division meetings, pursuing professional growth activities, and performing other duties consistent with the role of a faculty member. Faculty will also have the opportunity to serve on District and college committees and participate in co-curricular activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff.
• Master’s Degree in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, educational counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy, OR equivalent.
• Possession of California Mental Health License. (LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, PhD)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Recent professional clinical counseling experience in a mental health setting working with communities of color, particularly BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and understanding of how historical patterns of exclusion of these groups within higher education shape patterns of participation and outcomes.
• Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the impact that discrimination, racial trauma, anti-blackness, anti-immigrant, campus racial-climate, imposter syndrome, stigma, cultural mistrust, and feelings of isolation has on the mental health and well-being of community college students from diverse racial, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, disability, gender identities, and sexual orientation backgrounds and identities.
• Thorough understanding of the experiences and challenges faced by students of color, particularly African, African American, and the greater African diaspora, Asian Pacific-Islander, Latinx, and immigrant communities in higher education.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of strategies for counseling students with a history of trauma (i.e., foster youth, veterans, sexual assault survivors, etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency in strategies, practices, and clinical therapy approaches that best meet the needs of community college students from diverse racial, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, disability, gender, and sexual orientation backgrounds and identities.
• Experience with organizing and facilitating mental health outreach and promotion activities
• Experience in assisting clients with securing resources for mental health/wellness and basic needs.
• Experience providing crisis counseling to transitional age youth and adult populations.
• Experience providing culturally relevant counseling services to diverse student populations.
• Experience with developing detailed case notes, treatment records and documentation of services provided.
• Clinical experience in groups, individuals, and couples using brief treatment models.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to Dean of Student Development and EOPS, the Psychological Services Counselor will provide a full range of counseling and clinical services for De Anza’s diverse student population. Specific duties include intake, evaluation and brief therapy, educational and personal counseling; crisis intervention, case management; referral to campus and community resources to secure basic needs and to ensure continuity of therapeutic care; consultation with faculty, staff and administrators regarding mental health issues; develop strategies and activities that foster student wellness and campus safety. Develop and conduct outreach and prevention events and services, including those specifically designed for vulnerable student populations including, economically disadvantaged, foster youth, veterans and homeless students. Develop and implement in-service workshops for faculty, staff and administrators. Provide supervision and training for graduate interns. Develop formal partnerships with local county behavioral health departments and/or community-based organizations to establish longer-term referral networks for students in need of ongoing mental health services. Assist with developing and maintaining the department’s equity plans and social practices. Help the college meet its commitment to global, cultural, and social awareness though the praxis of equity, social justice, and multicultural education. Demonstrate the commitment to professional development and the practice of cultural humility. Support social justice, equity, and sensitivity in staffing, curriculum, programs, and service delivery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:
• Operating from a strong equity lens, the Psychological Services Counselor will:
• Provide intake, evaluation, brief therapy, and personal counseling to enrolled students.
• Provide in-service to faculty, staff, and administrators regarding mental health needs within marginalized and communities of color including topics such as racial trauma, racialized violence, and LGBTQ+ identities.
• Conduct effective outreach and programming, and culturally relevant approaches to mental health services.
• Support social justice, equity, and awareness in staffing, curriculum, programs, and service delivery.
• Further the district’s commitment to global, cultural, and social awareness through the praxis of equity, social justice, and multicultural education.
• Further De Anza College’s commitment to support diverse student populations by developing and maintaining department Equity in Mental Health Action Plan activities.
• Develop strategies and activities that foster student wellness and campus safety, such as outreach and prevention events and services, including those specifically designed for transgender students, foster youth, veterans, and homeless students.
• Conduct crisis assessment, response, and intervention via Maxient.
• Case management: referral to campus and community resources to secure student basic needs and to ensure continuity of therapeutic care,
• Develop formal partnerships with local county behavioral health departments and/or community-based organizations to establish longer-term referral networks for students in need of ongoing mental health services.
• Assist in the implementation of program plans and final reports for state categorical and/or grant programs and services.
• Participate in the department program review and Student Learning Outcome (SLO) development and evaluation process.
• Participate in the development of department goals and objectives and assessment of resource needs.
• Collaborate with college staff to develop informational materials such as brochures, newsletters, and handbooks.
• Review legislation, codes, policies, laws, and procedures related to the assigned program.
• Provide information and interpretation of regulations and guidelines to students, faculty, and the community regarding programs and services.
• Develop relationships with campus faculty, staff, student clubs and local community-based resources to implement equity-minded mental health and wellness education strategies.

Standard duties expected of all faculty include development and evaluation of curricula, maintaining scheduled office hours, attendance at department and division meetings, pursuing professional growth activities, and performing other duties consistent with the role of a faculty member. Faculty will also have the opportunity to serve on District and college committees and participate in co-curricular activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff.
• Master’s Degree in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, educational counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy, OR equivalent.
• Possession of California Mental Health License. (LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, PhD)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Recent professional clinical counseling experience in a mental health setting working with communities of color, particularly BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and understanding of how historical patterns of exclusion of these groups within higher education shape patterns of participation and outcomes.
• Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the impact that discrimination, racial trauma, anti-blackness, anti-immigrant, campus racial-climate, imposter syndrome, stigma, cultural mistrust, and feelings of isolation has on the mental health and well-being of community college students from diverse racial, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, disability, gender identities, and sexual orientation backgrounds and identities.
• Thorough understanding of the experiences and challenges faced by students of color, particularly African, African American, and the greater African diaspora, Asian Pacific-Islander, Latinx, and immigrant communities in higher education.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of strategies for counseling students with a history of trauma (i.e., foster youth, veterans, sexual assault survivors, etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency in strategies, practices, and clinical therapy approaches that best meet the needs of community college students from diverse racial, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, disability, gender, and sexual orientation backgrounds and identities.
• Experience with organizing and facilitating mental health outreach and promotion activities
• Experience in assisting clients with securing resources for mental health/wellness and basic needs.
• Experience providing crisis counseling to transitional age youth and adult populations.
• Experience providing culturally relevant counseling services to diverse student populations.
• Experience with developing detailed case notes, treatment records and documentation of services provided.
• Clinical experience in groups, individuals, and couples using brief treatment models.
