About the Opportunity
The Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) BDG has an immediate opening for an Enterprise Architect, FRFS BDG (Architect-SP1) . Reporting to the National IT Associate Vice President of Architecture, the FRFS BDG Enterprise/Business Architect will partner with the FRFS Retail Product Office and other FRFS business lines to translate business goals into IT capabilities that service partners can deliver as technical solutions. With an eye towards the future, Enterprise Architects also help ensure the technical integrity of IT strategic plans and roadmaps. SP1s drive technical performance for major programs and System-wide initiatives. This role is an exciting opportunity for a business-minded architect to help shape technologies of national and international significance and impact.
The Retail Product Office within FRFS has oversight responsibilities for Check and ACH processing. The FRFS sets the strategic direction for these services, coordinates projects impacting the services and their customers, and ensures that retail operating sites meet service level agreements for resiliency and performance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensures alignment of strategic plans with technology roadmaps and that strategic plans and solutions are designed and implemented to align with technology roadmaps.
• Accountable for partnership with Retail, FRFS and FRS IT service providers for the delivery of business line and IT technology strategies and roadmaps. Builds strong relationships and partnerships with customers and FRS IT service providers and application developers by providing specialized expertise on complex technology and payment industry issues, educating senior management on technology architecture direction, implementation strategies, and application to enterprise business solutions.
• Creates effective solutions to problems of unusual complexity requiring high degree of innovation. Sets strategic technology direction and influences enterprise-wide planning. Researches and identifies best practice methods and emerging technologies, assessing potential value to the organization.
• Communicates effectively with business and technical leadership on various issues. Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
• Experience leading architecture for a business line within a larger organization or at the enterprise level
• Experience in the development and operation of IT products and platforms that support financial services
• Ten (10) or more years of IT architecture, system / software design and development, systems lifecycle management, infrastructure planning and operations in a highly complex enterprise IT environment.
• Seven (7) or more years of progressive management or leadership experience with responsibility for leading highly technical staff and cross-functional or matrixed teams within large, complex mission-critical systems with complex network requirements, or the equivalent required.
• Strategic planning skills and experience, and a proven track record of increasing business value through appropriate technology innovation

The Retail Product Office within FRFS has oversight responsibilities for Check and ACH processing. Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
• Experience leading architecture for a business line within a larger organization or at the enterprise level
• Experience in the development and operation of IT products and platforms that support financial services
• Ten (10) or more years of IT architecture, system / software design and development, systems lifecycle management, infrastructure planning and operations in a highly complex enterprise IT environment.
• Seven (7) or more years of progressive management or leadership experience with responsibility for leading highly technical staff and cross-functional or matrixed teams within large, complex mission-critical systems with complex network requirements, or the equivalent required.
• Strategic planning skills and experience, and a proven track record of increasing business value through appropriate technology innovation

We are looking for a strong IT Auditor to join our team charged with auditing Information Technology (IT) in the Federal Reserve System (System). Our audit objectives are to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of operational, IT and program/project management controls over:

As the IT Auditor you will:

We are looking for a strong IT Auditor to join our team charged with auditing Information Technology (IT) in the Federal Reserve System (System). In addition, you will lead, plan, conduct, and document reviews of large-scale programs and projects as well as point in time audits and provide consultation and/or life cycle review.
Our audit objectives are to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of operational, IT and program/project management controls over:
- financial reporting,
- effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and
- compliance with applicable laws, regulations and IT Standards.
- Plus provide consultation and/or life cycle review and monitoring of programs and projects.
As the IT Auditor you will:
- Complete annual business profile risk assessments for the Bank's IT functions.
- Perform audit work, including planning, conducting, documenting, and reporting results.
- Serve as a knowledge source for multiple Bank operations or functions by serving in the role of audit liaison.
- Serve in the role of AIC to lead audits of moderate to moderately high risk and complexity.
- Create various testing methods to evaluate adequacy of controls.
- Identify operational improvement needs and recommend solutions.
- Demonstrates the ability to coach junior audit staff and provide limited performance feedback.
- Participate in System or other District audits or System workgroups.
- Perform follow-up activity on issues reported by Audit and external parties.
- Provide input to the department's annual audit plan.
Qualifications as a successful candidate, you will have:
- 5 years of auditing experience in the IT space
- Bachelor's degree (IT related field preferred) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare clear, persuasive documents (work papers, observations, and reports) for management review with minimal revisions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of operational and business concepts and risk (including fraud) assessment practices.
- Strong knowledge of internal control systems applicable to Bank operations and functions.
- analytical/critical thinking skill and ability to apply sound judgment when making decisions related to businesses of moderate to moderately high complexity.
- knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditor's International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF); and the Committee on Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) internal control and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) risk assessment and IT Control frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrates ability to establish collaborative team and client relationships to include negotiation and influencing skills.
- Validated ability to conduct meetings and interact effectively with Audit management and all levels of Bank management.
- Demonstrates the ability to flowchart operational processes, identify key control points, and develop applicable audit procedures.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and other computer-assisted auditing software products.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
Base Salary Range: Min: $94,800 Mid: $123,100 Max: $151,400 (Location: San Francisco)
