Under the direction of the Dean of Instruction, the Education Instruction will provide instruction in Education in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evening and / or weekends, on-line or off-campus and large group instruction classes as needed, the instructor will be responsible for :
• Teaching a full range of courses in education;
• Supervising students at work experience sites, liaise with local school districts, and other college and university professionals;
• Advising students in both groups and individually on academic and career goals in education; and
• Otherwise fulfilling all of the duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122.

Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s in education;

• Maintains a variety of standard and complex office and

certification is required.

The counselor/coordinator will collaborate with the Office of Educational Services & Institutional Effectiveness to develop an institution level response to retention and persistence of African American students. Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
• Lead and collaborate in developing programs and student support services designed to improve African American student retention and graduation rates;
• Collaborate and Coordinate with various departments including Associate Student Government and committees throughout the college to increase access, engagement, and celebration of success for African American/Black students;
• Research, develop training and organize comprehensive counseling services to African American/Black students, including academic and career counseling, transfer including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU); personal and life transitions;
• Develop and maintain professional communications and strategic alliances with the Black Chamber of Commerce, Trade Unions, Fresno County Superintendent of Schools (FCSS), and other local organizations designed to promote Black Excellence;

• Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators in the development of an annual report on the institutions progress toward effectively serving African American Students and other disproportionately impacted groups;

Salary and Benefits:
Starting annual salary is $60,678 - $93,414 based on education and experience. An annual doctoral stipend of $2,270 is available. Selection Procedure:

Conditions of Employment:

223 duty days and 22 vacation days for a total of 245 days.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: $161,216 - $181,450 based on education and experience. A doctoral stipend of $2,270 is available. In addition, the District offers an attractive fringe benefit package including medical, dental, and vision coverage for the employee and dependents, and life insurance for employees. Employees are also members of the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS).

Selection Procedure:

Applications will initially be screened by Human Resources to determine which applicants meet the minimum qualifications as stated in the job announcement.

Providing professional nursing assessment through standards set by the California Nurse Practice Ace and Title V on the Reedley College campus and / or at off-site community campus locations, the College Nurse will be responsible for :
• Assessing students for self-care or referral to appropriate medical providers;
• Collaborating and responding regarding crisis team management and emergency problems and providing emergency and nursing care as needed;
• Establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with medical community;
• Presenting current and accurate health educational and wellness resources for students;
• Participating in professional staff development activities for students, staff, and community;
• Participating in extracurricular and community activities;
• Supporting and working closely with College Trainer in sports medicine;
• Serving on and attending department, college, and district committees as needed; and
• Other duties as assigned.

• Master’s in nursing and a California Public Health Nurse certificate; OR
• Bachelor’s in nursing AND a California Public Health Nurse certificate AND a master’s in health education, sociology, psychology, counseling, health care administration, public health or community health. Desirable Qualifications

• Ability to maintain confidential records;
• Computer skills in maintenance of health information and data collection;
• Ability to maintain a close liaison with students, staff, and local medical providers;
• Ability to write nursing protocols;
• Experience working with a diverse student population;
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students and staff in written and oral form;
• Related work and professional experience;
• Potential for contribution to institutional vitality and growth; and
• Knowledge of the community college and its mission and goals.

This is a part-time position (up to 23 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters only. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required.
