• Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer to ensure alignment between security and privacy compliance programs including policies, practices, investigations, and acts as a liaison to the Department.
• Lead, inspire and support a team of capable and competent professionals in the information access and privacy disciplines to deliver excellent service to client departments, stakeholders and citizens in support of timely and proactive disclosure of information.
• Provide expert advice, direction, coordination, negotiation, and mediation on complex and controversial access to information issues affecting government, including access to information requests under RTIPPA involving external parties.
• Monitor and report on government's compliance with obligations related to privacy and access to information legislation, policies and practices.
• Ensure the effective management of human and financial resources by setting and evaluating staff performance targets, promoting diversity and a healthy workplace, demonstrating the leadership competencies, respecting corporate human resources practices, promoting teamwork and individual development, maintaining internal communication, monitoring revenues and expenditures, and accurately forecasting budget requirements for the fiscal year.
• Interact regularly with key stakeholders such as the Ombud NB and the Office of the Attorney General.
• Collaborate with Federal, Provincial, and Territorial teams, to align as appropriate and to share strategies, policy, and thought leadership.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in BBA, LLB or a related field and a minimum of nine (9) years of related experience.
University degree in a related field required (a degree in Law is preferred; examples of other degrees or designations in a related field include Public Administration, or Business). An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
A minimum of two (2) years of management/supervisory experience is required.
Written and spoken competence in English required.

The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, System Excellence, and Applied Research, the successful candidate's primary responsibilities will include:
• Leading the implementation of the provincial Education Leadership Development plan and soliciting ongoing feedback on the plan.

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, System Excellence, and Applied Research, the successful candidate's primary responsibilities will include:
• Leading the implementation of the provincial Education Leadership Development plan and soliciting ongoing feedback on the plan.
• Updating learning materials, facilitating training, supporting leadership development, and developing online leadership content with Desire2Learn (D2L).
