As part of our process, we do extensive fact-checking, reference formatting, and quality assurance work. This internship will primarily be oriented around these tasks, but will also offer additional opportunities to learn about various aspects of health publishing--including the potential to get a few byline opportunities of your own. Our previous interns have copy edited articles and written about a wide range of topics, from debunked health trends, to why chocolate is bad for dogs, to the benefits of hiking.

Our team includes medical and pharmacy editors who are licensed physicians and pharmacists, as well as experienced journalists and content creators. We also work closely with our newsletter, design, research, and video teams.

Application process: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis for the July 2023 class of GoodRx Editorial Internship. You will receive any offer notification by the end of May.

Duties: Our interns’ primary responsibilities include fact-checking and adding references to articles. Other responsibilities will vary and may include completing administrative tasks, pitching story ideas to editors, and assisting with the interview process for the next cohort of Editorial interns.

We are looking to hire three interns for this cohort, each with a particular interest in one of the following focus areas:
• Copy editing - editing articles for tone, readability, and adherence to GoodRx’s style guide
• Writing - working with assigning editors to research and write articles for topics spanning all aspects of healthcare, with a primary focus on our Well-being content
• Operations/SEO - supporting the Operations and SEO teams through a variety of projects and learning about the rapidly-growing field of search engine optimization for digital media

All interns will have the opportunity to learn about the publishing process and explore roles and responsibilities outside of their core focus areas!

Eligibility: Applicants can include part-time college and graduate students, alumni, and individuals early in their careers along with career changers. Emphasis will be given to applicants who add new and distinct perspectives to our work culture and our editorial product.

Duration: Six months, from July through the end of December. In addition, several of our former interns have continued contributing to the team on a freelance basis after the conclusion of their time with GoodRx.

Hours: Part-time; we expect our interns to work 26 to 29 hours per week during Pacific working hours.

Pay: $27 per hour

Location: This position can be based on-site in our Santa Monica, San Francisco, or New York offices, work remotely, or include a hybrid of office and remote work.

About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Commercial Counsel to join GoodRx’s Commercial Legal team. The Associate Commercial Counsel will be instrumental in keeping day-to-day operations and transactions moving quickly while protecting the company. • Review commercial contracts related to vitaCare as needed.
• Full ownership of all facets of investigation and investigation reporting on matters related to compliance and pharmacovigilance.

Qualifications
• JD with admission to a state bar with 8 or more years of experience.
• Maintain current unrestricted pharmacist licensure and/or State Bar admission. Florida Bar admission preferred.
• Deeply familiar with Florida pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Expert in healthcare laws related to pharmacy and related areas such as anti-kickback, pharma compliance and data privacy.
• Knowledge and work experience with computerized pharmacy information and dispensing systems, operations, and pharmacy services.
• You are comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-growth environment. You are a quick learner and navigate ambiguity effectively.

This role is a hybrid, focused on social media management and content development through influencer partnerships. The ideal candidate is proactive, incredibly organized, and passionate about storytelling, with a proven track record of managing up and being comfortable and confident with both leading projects and being a key collaborator or contributor on other projects. This person must have deep knowledge of the social media and influencer spaces and how they work hand in hand to drive content for owned and paid channels and beyond. You must be excited about the prospect of joining a team that is quickly evolving and growing to focus on meeting our customers where they are with the content and stories they need.

This role is based in Los Angeles and requires a minimum of 2 days per week in our Santa Monica HQ. Days to be determined by team lead, typically Tuesday and Thursday.

Social Media + Content Management Responsibilities:
• Partner on the management and execution of GoodRx’s social media calendar, content planning, creation, social copywriting, and posting for all social platforms; ensure consistent posting and strong brand storytelling, including curating content derived from influencer partnerships and UGC.
• Work with the community team to gather UGC and determine what can be repurposed for owned and paid usage. In partnership, develop proactive content ideas to drive a higher volume of UGC.
• Partner with community management team to turn their consumer learnings into actionable content ideas and proactive content opportunities.
• Understanding that different audiences on different platforms will require different approaches, you will provide a POV to experiment and iterate to identify the most effective formats, the most resonant messaging themes, and the most engaging storytelling and creative approaches for various channels.
• Partner with internal and external teams to surface new content opportunities and ideas that you will bring to life on relevant channels.
• Monitor competitors and other social media leaders for learnings and insights to help GoodRx continue to identify potential white space opportunities we can jump on

Influencer Management Responsibilities:
• Take lead on influencer vetting, negotiation, contracting, concept collaboration, relationship building, start to finish activation including concept and content review, tracking and reporting.
• Build relationships with influencers, brand fans and talent agents.
• Partner with paid social team to get maximum content support in real time and to help them plan their calendar around what’s to come.
• Stay current on influencer content trends and emerging influencers to provide POVs on relevant areas or partners to test and learn.

Reporting Responsibilities:
• Partner with other leads on monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reporting. Must know how to analyze content performance and consumer behavior as it relates to content.
• Must know how to pull reports on all social channels and how to calculate organic vs paid results.
• Analyze key metrics and recommend content and engagement shifts as needed to maximize traffic, engagement, and growth potential across all platforms

Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of experience that includes social media management, influencer marketing, and content strategy.
• Ability to “get smart quickly”- understand and learn different business sectors swiftly · Superior oral and written communication skills, proofreading and editing ability.
• Thrive on collaboration. This position reports into Sr. Director and works side by side with another Social Content Strategist and Sr. Manager of Community Engagement and their team. This person will also be a relationship lead for multiple teams around the company.
• Prior experience working with social media management and listening tools like Sprinklr and influencer tools like Tagger Media.
• Exceptional communication, project management, and time management skills with an ability to manage projects on your own, and manage up sharing frequent updates with your manager, etc. Passion for storytelling, with an understanding of how to create for varying consumer audiences.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required if you have passion for GoodRx’s mission to make healthcare affordable and are dedicated to hitting the ground running and learning as you go.
• Detailed executioner that will thrive in a hybrid social media and influencer marketing role.

Compensation decisions are determined using a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, and education or certifications. If we extend an offer for employment, we will consider all individual qualifications. Below are our salary ranges for this position based on office location:

Santa Monica Office: $72,000 - $115,000
